@sandyBi1 You are wrong. the only two malamutes there are shadow and buck. huskies do have blue eyes but that's not there only eye color.

Maya husky, old jack husky, Truman, Dewey, Shorty, and Max. Those are your 6 huskies. Huskies have different looking fur. A husky can be pure white as well or they come in colors like Maya.

Again huskies do have blue eyes but that's not the only color they come in. they can have blue or brown eyes or two different colored eyes at once.

It's just showing that they're capable of surviving in the wild, if they're fit enough to do so. Accidents do happen. They learnt from the mistakes others made and acted as a pack to keep on surviving. It's a really touching film, especially this scene. But these dogs are just amazing animals. I'd recommend the breeds to anyone.

Wow! I've trained dogs for more then 30 years now (not sled dogs) but I can tell ya, they are family these hairy butt biscuit heads and they do have a soul! Andy Rooney once said "Dogs are better then people". Also a quoit from Mark Twain " A dog is a gentleman it's his heaven I want to go to not mans". :) A human can learn a lot from a DOG. :)

R.I.P. Old Jack and Dewey, my heart sunk to my boots and I have cried for the lose of a DOG.

This is a wonderful movie that shows the spirit of survival and also caring about animals!!!The dog at the end that wouldn't leave until he showed his partner was hurt and dying always gets me misty eyed...Disney is the best at making the heartfelt movies and always has been..Thanks for posting this wonderful movie :-)

This movie was inspired by the tragic incident in 1958 when Japanese expedition to Antartica was cancelled and they had to leave the Dogs behind to survive. The Japanese left their Dog for a Year and Those Dogs were unable to release the chains on their necks so they got Stuck there, Couldn't move FOR A YEAR WITHOUT FOOD ! 1 year later the Japanese came back to look for them, FROM 11 DOGS ONLY 2 SURVIVED, THE OTHERS ARE DEAD IN THE SAME POSITION WHEN THEY LEFT THEM A YEAR AGO. So sad ....

@janesuperstar18 The dog that played him wasn't old(about 5 years)so I would think so.Dogs that die in the movie usually don't die in real life.And when Dewey fell down the cliff, they most likely used a stuffed animal to recreate it.None of the dogs are allowed to be hurt like that.
