thats a big claim to make i love rory gallagher aswell but i couldn't say any guitarist is the best in the world, there are so many greats that you couldn't differentiate eric clapton mark knopfler, jimmy hendrix. whos the best? immpossible to seperate imo. Imagine rory gallagher as far as i know isn't in the rolling stone top 100 gutarists of all time. thats pathetic journalism from whoever printed that shite, gallagher is legend.

Sounds like an fucked up amp/guitar or an wah which is activated when he plays (without using it)

Supposedly, the only "effect" Rory used was called a "treble booster". He definitely did not use a wah wah peddle.

Rory gives himself complety here, I love his feeling as performer and In this case all his band are in Montreux so they had to play with supreme quality since they are in front of a connosieurs audience of Montreux Jazz in Switzerland, so it's not fair to discuss whether the bass is better than Rory! Digo... (B-p)
