The camera is the Canon HV30 with a Nikkor 50mm lens attached by a "twoneil" adapter on the front. It's a pretty inexpensive setup for the quality videos it puts out... if you google "twoneil", it's the $100 static adapter on his site. The HV30 camera films in cinematic mode at 24 frames per second instead of the usual look of 30 fps to give it a more "film" look. The HV20 produces the same results and u can find it on ebay cheap.
