The theme for "The Don Lane Show" (1975--83) is played over the closing credits. It is "You Make It So Easy" which was recorded by Helen Reddy. BTW the look on Don's face at 3:11 is priceless. He's having a wow of a time!
Morton Donald Isaacson you will be sadly missed, even though we haven't seen much of you in recent years due to illness. One of the few "Septics" we're proud to call an Aussie!
Valé to the "Lanky Yankee". Came for six weeks and stayed over 45 years.
Daryl Somers bemoaned the lack of live variety on Australian TV. The Don Lane Show and IMT were among the best and staple viewing in many homes when I was younger.
The ... "I love your faces" as his traditional sign-off to each show that almost always ran over time will live long in the memories of many for years to come.
Wow! Don Lane and and the last Late Show. TV variey was good then -- very, very good. Bring more Lane to the world. Great swinging version of "Saturday Night." We need Don more than ever these days.
One of the Greats! Cheers Don.
