nothing wrong with the tapping man it had feeling it wasnt just a bunch of useless tapping goin look how fast i can play, i thought it fit perfectly and wasnt overdone
Seems like you can't please everyone-I often wondered if Stevie would've been as influenced by Eddie V and Alan Holdsworth as he was by BB, Muddy , Albert King and of course Jimi?It seems like some of you critisize us for being too much like SRV, while others comment that we're not enough like him. Which is it?
The tapping during Voodoo Chile was aweful and just has no place in your tribute. Sorry if this is blunt if you're going to do him you have to nail him every second up there.
I LOVE CHICAGO! IF YOU KNOW OF ANY THEATRES OR LARGE CLUBS THAT WOULD LIKE TO HAVE US, FORWARD THE INFO AND MY MANAGEMENT WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN.SINCERE THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT.
iuno...I don't have the connections, but I'm sure you could scedule something at a large town fair (Davy Jones played in a suburb of Chicago at a fair). There were 15000 people there. Then you might wanna check out Buddy Guy's Legends Bar and Restaraunt. Buddy Guy might be interested in having an SRV tribute there (he has SRV's guitar, "lenny" there). Contact me at Corighter@yahoo.com if you find a place. KEEP IT UP!
I love Stevie Ray Vaughan too, but that was incredible. I agree with SRVkarl; you can't rip his style off any more!
***I showed it to my dad and he was like, "Why are you showing this to me? It's Stevie Ray Vaughan! You've shown me a million Stevie Ray Vaughan clips before!"
Then I was like, "What if I told you that this wasn't Stevie Ray Vaughan?"
GUYS! THIS IS A TRIBUTE TO SRV MUCH IN THE WAY PEOPLE PAY TRIBUTE TO ELVIS. THIS VERY SHOW HELPS TO KEEP HIS MEMORY ALIVE. TOMMY SHANNON HIMSELF THANKED US FOR DOING IT. BILLY JOEL THOUGHT IT WAS A PHENOMINAL TRIBUTE . GO TO WWW.EDDIEJELLEY.COM AND LISTEN TO THE SKY IS CRYIN.
Absolutely...when I said "I agree with SRVkarl; you can't rip his style off any more!" did you think I was saying that you were doing a bad thing?
No...I meant that you did an amazing job in imitating him without copying him note for note. I think that you are doing an amazing job! Do you ever come to Chicago?
he ALMOST does imitate hime note for note even note for note on clothing. your a good player, you just need to develop your own style man. come on, something that others can remember YOU for instead of ppl remembering you as the SRV imitator
MY STYLE IS NOTHING LIKE SRV'S. I MAINLY PLAY LES PAULS.
I DO THIS TRIBUTE BECAUSE I LOVED STEVIE'S PLAYING. IT'S JUST A DIFFERENT FORM OF MUSIC FOR ME TO PLAY.I VERY MUCH HAVE MY OWN STYLE, BUT NOT WHEN I'M DOING A "TRIBUTE"
