very refreshing to see and hear, John Tams has been a long time favourite of mine. The line up is just priceless, I will keep trying to get my sessions to this standard.
both my parents are gone now but this reminded me of the lullabies they would sing me to sleep with so long ago. Thank you for bringing that sweetness back to me with this lovely tune.
Of course - sorry - hence the name and whole point of the band. It just gets tiresome that everyone outside these islands thinks any band wih a fiddle is Irish. (Nothing wrong with Irish music. I love it too.) Anyway this is going to be on my favourites for a long time
John McCusker writes such lovely tunes, and John Tams sings this one so very well - an instant classic.

I love how he's sitting in the middle, like a grandad surrounded by his grandchildren. While they're like 'wow'.
Roddy Woomble should be there :|

Well, wonderful British music, truth to tell. John Tams is from Derbyshire. He is the gent who played the chosen man ace shot in the Sharpe series.

This version is even better than the album version. Where was it recorded?
duncane17 2 years ago
It was recorded by Scottish Television.
