  • this is the old 4matic system. New one is better

  • QUATTRO leads the way, others just follow...

  • best allroad.

  • Vehicle equipped with 4-matic is excellent in snowy road surface in terms of road handling..

  • I'd like to see your Kia do that! lol

  • ESP is made by Mercedes and now nearly every new car copies it. Specifically Citroen and Audi. The same thing happened with ABS, Mercedes made it and now it is an official regulation for new cars.

  • @8150shaf i think i knwo what you wanna say.but if you say "made" i suggest you mention Bosch.Because both systems are Made by Bosch for Mercedes. If you would live here in Stuttgart and not on the other side of some fast food nation continent you would maybe know that?

  • Yeah, i understand - but sitll, mercedes thought of the idea of actually putting it in a car!

Same with navigation, it was there but they were the first to make it built in to the car

  • Bosch, not Mercedes.

  • @ikenefick bosch, not chrysler

  • is this better than subaru?

  • I saw a 4 Matic on a SUV mercedes yesterday parking next to my car

  • why does the video only refer to the s class, doesn't the 4matic apply to all class' with that option?

  • What does the 4-matic do?

  • It's a different name that Benz uses for

    four wheel drive.

  • I'm sorry but my Subaru AWD system is better then the MDX and not that I Don't like it but the MDX does not have a Real AWD system they even said it them self, and it has so much BS problem after the 3 year warranty I wanna sell it so many time. The subaru didn't even get stuck in the same icy area I put it in where the MDX took 3 times longer to get out.

  • @ShinWR1 I'll never forget when the guy at the Saab dealer i went to told me about a woman that had her 9-3 in for a tune up he gave her a C300 loaner when she came to get her Saab back droped the keys to the C300 in his hand and told him he could keep that piece of shit

  • @ShinWR1 True, my subby was amazing in all weather. I could pull out of a wet side road turning into another and floor it and it just went, no drama. I have a rwd merc and bmw and they are arses in the wet, I would love awd but no, only lhd markets get them. A merc spokeman said it would have cost $50m, prosumably US dollars to engineer a rhd version of their 4matic for their cars, seems which was considered to much. Lack of awd is while I am turning to audi in the future.

  • what model did you have? i have 2002 e430 4matic and haven't had any electrical problems so far..i agree with their flimsy quality though

  • your car must have been assembled in US.

  • Every Mercedes built after 1995 or before 2005 is rubbish. Every Merc built before 1990 is the most reliable thing in the universe. Lexus no match.

  • well said....i totally agree

  • i dint know they built Mercedes-Benz in U.S. i thought the were all from somewhere in Germany, my dads was built in Afalterbach,Germany where all AMG's are built.

  • Didnt^

  • Only M, G, and R class are built in the US. AMG I think is in Afalterbach. AMG is in house tuning .

  • right, after doing some research i figured that out after i posted.

  • cool, cool. :D

  • @ghettogates G is built in Austria, maybe you meant GL?

  • Yea, correction. lol

  • cool
