Ok, you can beat it without cheats or luck, it just can't be your first time EVER playing the game :P. I just did it on a new char XD.

The choices you make in the beginning (besides your father being a noble) are directly correlating with what gear you start with.

You cannot beat the arena at lvl 1, unless your incredibly lucky or incredibly cheating.

I've played the trial a LOT. I can beat the arena at lvl 1 also. It gets WAY easier after you've raided tons of villages solo mode.

but the size of you army does matter..

thanks for the help, i got luckier earlier today, made a new guy, asked a lord and he recruited me as a vaegir mercenary, gave me like 100 reknown and i joined the vaegirs, thanks for the help guys, btw, if this game were made online, i would like it better if it were like server play, and on small servers at that, because at the size of this game, a wave of online people would overcrowd it, plus imagine 4000 players on each side of the battlefield, i like my framerate to be postive, thank you

You need a reknow of atleast 150.

You can get reknow by fighting armys,bandits etc.

The more enemy troops the more reknow you get after winning the battle

man, you gotta get yourself known, fight bandits, find out the faction you wanna join, then find out the factions it's at war with, and maybe intercept some of their goods peddelers. Or talk to some of the lord of the faction you wanna join, and help them out with lil tasks like delivering letters, trianing men. This games SOOO fun!

and when u have a lot of reknow you search for their king and ask him to swear loyalty(you to him obviously) and there it starts,he will give you land to defend,villages,castles,etc...
