  • The VA was taking this piss when he said the line almost like he could predict that someday it'd become a youtube video

  • These are actually Japanese onigiri (riceballs). Pokemon was originally in Japanese in 1997, then 4kids entertainment got the rights of the show and dubbed it in 1998. They called the riceballs that Brock kept on making throughout the series jelly filled doughnuts. They also redrew some of the other riceballs as other foods such as sandwiches. The reason for this is unknown. If I got any of this wrong, please correct me.

  • @ChibiAngelKotone I'm going to correct you right now they have been and always will be jelly filled doughnuts.

  • LOL! I thought they were rice or somthing XD

  • @keyblade777 If you're getting this many negative comments, why not just remove the video? Geez, it sounds like it'd take a LOT of stress off, seeing how you're avidly defending yourself. But seriously. Google 'onigiri' and 'jelly doughnut' in two separate windows. You WON'T see the same thing.

  • @Lilmissloki65 Oh my god, Because I need to teach people like you that these are in fact jelly filled doughnuts. I don't see what's so hard to believe.

  • @keyblade777 Wanna know what's so hard to believe? That some Americans are ignorant enough to believe that rice balls are doughnuts. I mean really. >_> And 'in fact' should not be said, as rice isn't jelly. Nor doughnuts. And if people believe someone on youtube (especially if they're wrong) then we'd have SO many more illiterate and bitter in this world. If you expect us to just say, "oh, he says they're jelly doughnuts. I believe him!" then you live in a reality that doesn't exist.

  • @Lilmissloki65 *Illiterate and bitter **people***

  • 4Kids: misguiding Americas youth since 1992

  • Anyone else search up the comment above in google translate? o.O Dutch btw..

  • These are not doughnuts

    THIS IS PATRICK!

  • This is why pokemon is shit...

  • Hahahahahahahahaha Hahahahahahahahaha Epic FAIL!!!!!!!! Ahhh thats funny!

  • For years I thought that's what jelly donuts looked like.

    Thanks for the education, 4kids.

  • OH MY GOD PEOPLE THOSE ARE DOUGHNUTS! IT'S LIKE I'M THE ONLY SANE PERSON IN THE WORLD!

  • @Bobubobme jij bent de broer van dimas toch?:) hoe is het in australië?

  • @1243bca Woah one of my first non English comments.

  • @Bobubobme Yeah, fuck these guys.

  • I didn't realize rice and seaweed were major ingredients in jelly-filled donuts! :O Brock needs to teach me his cooking secrets, because Krispy Kreme is doing it wrong!

  • I know next to nothing about Japanese culture, and even I can tell that those are rice balls and not donuts...

  • NO!!

    They're the devil in disguise!

  • Those aren't donuts, they are hotdogs!

  • Ok its a jelly filled riceball doughnut....Got it!

  • so its easy to edit a white ball into a sandwitch for 4kids but not a couple rice cakes?

  • epic facepalm moment

  • OMG if a child could see this they could have terrable night mares lets sew 4kids for not doing what the jack shit they do like edit away text make japamis food jelly filled doughnuts like up there

  • because 4kids thinks the viewers are stupid.

  • What I want to know is how 4 kids thought that a riceball could pass off as a doughnut in this society. After all, kids know what doughnuts are, and doughnuts those are not.

  • Thats onigiri

  • Whats next? Sushi rolls are ribeye steak?

  • God damn it... why this!?

    Look at my name... ^^'

  • When I was little and watched this show, I had no idea what those things were, BUT I KNEW THEY WEREN'T DOUGHNUTS!

  • @Chubtoaster I spent much of my childhood wondering what the hell those were.

  • This is why Brock needs to open his eyes more often.

  • Fuck you 4kids...

  • Comment removed

  • @LendraKewis They're not either, you fucking twat. Read the goddamn video title.

  • @LendraKewis *facepalm*

  • Yes Brock say it a few more times and maybe I'll actually believe you that those are doughnuts for a second.

Oh wait no I won't because they're BLOODY RICE BALLS!!! Stupid 4kids.

  • First Riceballs where sandwiches, then a cracker, now it's a dub mistake. DAMMIT 4KIDS, STOP HATING JAPAN SO MUCH!

  • Brock: What are you talking about Misty these are totally doughnuts! You don't think i actually stole these from a Japanese restaurant do you?

    LOL

  • Always confusing...

When I hear jelly filled doughnut I think of a deep fried batter coated jelly, as in wibble wobble wibble wobble jelly on a plate...

But that's neither a deep fried wibbly treat or a jam doughnut! (I like rice balls. And I love mochi)

  • @RusCan10

    Jam! :D

  • U jelly, rice balls?

  • Regardless that those are rice balls........who would actually say those three sentences like that?

  • there rice balls brock -_-

  • XD

apparently jelly filled donuts are triangle.......

  • @jecka1021

...and they don't have holes...and they are all white...and they wrapped in seaweed...and they are made of rice...

  • @AnimeYoshiGirl LOL theyre not rice cakes, theyre rice balls. there is a difference.

  • @francesca1996 What difference? They're not jelly filled donuts either way.

  • he made these with his drying pan

  • riceballs.....

  • When it was slowed down, Sounds like "Jelly FRIED doughnut." O_o

    Sounds...

    Delicious...

  • @sonicfangamer2 Doughnuts are already Deep fried >.>

  • Yet whenever someone eats one, you never see any jelly. Care to explain 4kids?

  • Wow i didnt know that jelly filled doughnuts were made with rice and seeweed.

  • The funny thing was, since I grew up in America, I though that these were jelly-filled donuts and not onigiri xD

  • the funny part, when i was a kid i saw this before i knew about rice balls. For a while i thought that whenever rice balls/onigiris appeared in something i thought they were jelly filled donuts.

  • Is he advertising for jelly-filled donuts or stupidity? "These donuts are great!" "Jelly-filled is my favorite!" "Nothing beats a jelly-filled donut!" guy must do something to them other than eating them.

  • @ShujinkoBlack

He's desperately trying to convince you that they are NOT rice balls...

  • those donuts look revolting

  • Those are not doughnuts

    Those are rice cakes....

  • @AnimeYoshiGirl Oh my god grow up and learn about the world, these are doughnuts people are so shallow.

  • @keyblade777 If they're "jelly filled doughnuts".......then why are they wrapped in nori? (nori=classic seaweed wrapping on an onigiri. (onigiri=japanese rice ball.))

  • @Lilmissloki65

Because 4Kids thinks we are idiots.

  • @keyblade777 English Version: They're jelly filled doughnuts Japanese Version: They're rice balls/rice cakes.

  • @keyblade777 No. Just because it's in the localized script doesn't make it such.

  • @keyblade777 You have been brainwashed by 4Kids!

  • @AnimeYoshiGirl No not rice CAKES, they are rice balls, or onigiri...

  • @AnimeYoshiGirl Riceballs, actually. Rice cakes are totally different things.

  • @AnimeYoshiGirl They ARE jelly filled doughnuts. Clearly, you're blind.

  • @Source90000 No. Clearly, you don't know Japanese culture very well.

  • @AnimeYoshiGirl Please. I've been to Japan, and when I went to a Japanese restaurant, I ask for a jelly filled doughnut! Then they laugh me out of the place... including the customers..

  • @Source90000 Oh. Sorry.:(

  • @AnimeYoshiGirl Nothing gets past you does it?

  • @Scrinoverlord Are you calling me dumb? 'Cause if so that makes you dumb.

  • @AnimeYoshiGirl Figure it out yourself twinkletoes. Lord knows you'll figure it out eventually.

  • @Scrinoverlord EXCUSE ME?! Were you born this rude or did you have to take lessons?

  • Comment removed

  • @AnimeYoshiGirl *rice ball

  • BROCK HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOUR FROM JAPAN YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT A RICE BALL IS

  • Mokou would be horribly afraid of him.

  • is it me or am i blind

  • Comment removed

  • DON'T FORGET THE SYYYYRUP

  • When I was younger and watched pokemon I actually thought these were doughnuts >.>. My brother, who is younger than me, said they were riceballs. I said "Whats a riceball? These are jelly doughnuts"

WHY MUST 4KIDS MAKE US DUMB!

  • Sounds like he's trying to convince himself

  • Okay, there were episodes involving Rice Balls, and they changed it completely to a different food. Here they didn't even bother to draw something different. Wow.

  • Thank God 4Kids will never get ahold of Fruits Basket

  • The only way this would make sense would be if Dunkin' or Tim Horton's started selling rice balls.

  • God Damn Japan-Hating 4kids

  • You guys do realize that Keyblade777 is being sarcastic? Read the tags.

  • I still think this guys a troll, theres no way ppl can be so ignorant

  • I, for one, welcome our new rice/doughnut overlords.

  • I went to dunkin donuts the other day, and ordered a rice ball. They didn't know what I meant, so i pointed to the jelly filled donuts and said "Rice. Ball." Then an employee from the back came out and hi-fived me because he got what I was referencing to. So I got a free rice ball, and some guy got a REALLY good tip.

  • @TouhouVampires hmmm...in that case I'm going to a japanese restaurant and asking for jelly filled donuts

  • Err those are rice balls....how stupid do adults these days think kids are?! -.-

  • The trolling done in the comments are making me lol.

  • Jelly-filled doughnut =/= Ricecake

  • Why does everyone think 4kids are evil

I mean honestly, Japan is a pretty screwed up place. They eat EGG LOAF.

  • @StrongIntelligent Hm, racist you cant say an entire country as screwed up untill you have lived there ,but you can say North Korea, China and Cuba are screwed up simply because they plan on starting a nuclear war and wiping out all life as we know it. What does 4Kids have to do with Japan anyway they cant even spell FOUR right and "Leo Burnett and 4 kids are devil" ~James as he is being eaten by a victorybell

  • @metroidshroom No, I'm just saying a country that eats EGG LOAF is not to be trusted. And claiming Cubans, Chinese and North Koreans are planning to start nuclear war is pretty Xenophobic in of its self. You should stop believing conspiracies, friend, Bush wasn't great, but he didn't plan 9/11.

  • @StrongIntelligent I AM Japanese not an American and I dont eat egg loaf I am a vegan (not eating or taking anything from animals ex: eggs) You say I am overreacting about the nuclear war thing North Korea blew up a South Korean island and China has been developing Nucear weapons since the 1960s and I leared that Castro is trying to make nuclear weapons. For the love of god we dont even have a military so we cant even backstab you either we might not be your biggest fans but we dont hate you.

  • @metroidshroom I'm English.

  • @StrongIntelligent Oh good I dont hate you at all then.

  • When i was a kid I always wondered why his donuts, biscuits etc all looked the same.

  • Don't make fun of him, can't you see the man is blind??

  • @Longknife

    HAHAHA!!

  • Well, they kinda look like 4 half-donuts.

  • keyblade777 already got mindfucked by 4kids LOL

  • Comment removed

  • @keyblade777 ohh the uploader's actually a troll! so scaryy. nice try, but they're rice balls. thanks for uploading 4kids fail, its funny :)

  • @keyblade777 you say "japan can suck a dick" i hope you arent ignorant enough to know that you play games that originated from japan!

  • @GimmeFunnyShet Why are they in English then?

  • @keyblade777 to make more money. use some common sense!

  • @keyblade777 Because they dubbed it dumbass. DUHHHH !! xD

  • @keyblade777 TROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • @keyblade777 because they get cash for shipping them from different place's but they need to change there language so ya at least 85% (give or take) games that are made were Created or originated from japan

  • @keyblade777 because they dubbed it for you moron

  • @keyblade777 TROLOLOL You're an idiot :D

  • @rainingchopstix and you're a cunt.

  • @keyblade777 Youu mad bro? :D

  • @keyblade777 translated? DUMBASS XD HAHAHA

  • @DragonCubeZ Translated from what? They are only in English.

  • @keyblade777 no they're not -_- but the pokemon games arent able to change language if its translated come on you HAVE to know that pokemon and its games are from japan right..?

  • @DragonCubeZ What next you are going to say Nintendo is Japanese, you would be stupid to say that its in California.

  • @keyblade777 okay I'm either being trolled or you're a little kid xD

  • @keyblade777 What a dumbass -_-"

  • @recom1234 "-_-" Is not a word. That makes you a dumbass.

  • @keyblade777 You're mad because someone included characters that don't create a word, within their comment? I swear, people on the internet bitch about anything these days.

  • @Whitellama11 Look at what you're bitching at.

  • @GimmeFunnyShet and anime and the Benihama''s resturants

  • @keyblade777 who do you think made pokemon a moose with thumbs? dumbass

  • I actually made some rice balls once (I know the recipe) and my fellow otaku buddy who watched Pokemon back in the day jokingly told me "I was disappointed...I always thought rice balls tasted like jelly donuts." XD

  • I remember I first saw this when I was 4 and I was like "How's that a donut?"

    lmao xD

  • HAHA 4KIDS!!! LUCKILY I HAD SOME JAPANESE CULTURE IN MY HEAD BEFORE YOU FILLED ME WITH LIES!!

    LIIIIEEEESSS!!!!

  • it's like he tries so hard to tell us it's a jelly filled doughnut, like it's some sort of cover-up

  • @Pigeoninja334 It probably has something to do with his eyes.

  • I don't think those are jelly doughnuts. They look like rice balls to me.

  • @TheK12314 Definitely rice balls

  • NOTHING BEATS A JELLY FILLED DONUT

  • Okay.

    If that's a doughnut,

    what is sushi?

  • @meaganfarr2 tripe filled with cow testicle tissue.

  • LOL It sounds like the voice actor for Brock was even trying to convince himself that it's really a jelly-filled doughnut XD

  • THESE DOUGHNUTS ARE GREAT! JELLY FILLED ARE MY FAVORITE! NOTHING BEATS A JELLY FILLED DOUGHNUT! THE DOUGHNUTS ARE FILLED WITH JELLY...NOT CHICKEN OR FISH AND DEFINITELY NOT SEAWEED! JUST JELLY! BECAUSE THEY'RE DOUGHNUTS! JELLY!!!!

  • They're rice balls dumbass(referring to brock). They're made of rice seaweed and a small plum like fruit in the middle.

  • rice balls dont arent jelly fiiled..or are they 0_o

  • That depends, Brock... What kind of jelly is it? (LoL JK)

  • Ha! XD

i remember i thought those were very weird looking /doughnuts/ when I was a kid, too XDDD

  • GOD DAMN YOU 4KIDS

  • @keyblade777 the way he talks feels like over explaining, imagine him decsribing orgasm. Ahem...when giving a woman orgasm you must thrust your two fingers slowly through the hole between her two legs, then speed up to give her the joy she can imagine through body that is made out of bones, flesh, muscles, fat and skin.

  • XD Onigiri=jelly-filled doughnuts? Dub fail!

  • WUT. o-o

  • Man, these doughnuts sure are doughnuts. The best thing about them is that they're not something that was invented in Japan. I sure would hate to eat food that American 12-year-olds might not know about.

Did I mention the doughnuts aren't riceballs? Because they're doughnuts.

  • seems legit

  • Does 4kids hate Japan or something?

  • @MissLaurenElisabeth

Apparently you didn't watch the video enough, they love Japan!

  • CURSE YOU 4KIDS!!!! Making our children think onigiri are doughnuts!!!!!! >:(

  • @DiamondDoll9 They are doughnuts, Man people are so ignorant.

  • @keyblade777 They're not doughnuts in the usual sense. If you're defining a doughnut as anything that has a filling than some sort, then it could be considered one, but it's really not. There's a reason they're called DOUGHnuts.

  • @keyblade777 But Onigiri are not jelly filled. :D

  • Comment removed

  • What is that?

    WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?

  • @possibiladoom Doughnuts

    .

  • @keyblade777 i was making a Full Metal Jacket reference
