I am an american!! My husband is from the mizrah we spent the summer there> What they show on tv is just the bad stuff . the town is quiet and friendly. As far as jerusalem goes it is a holy city for most religions so why is it that israel wants the land only for themselves. It was hard for me to get into jerusalem even with an american passport. They search you and your car and let you sit and wait sometimes 1 hour.

Yes, see the Balfour Declaration...it leaves all of Jordan and Israel to the Jews. However that was in 1921 while Israel actually took half of that in 1948. The Arabs could have all stayed, but decided to go into camps with the view that they would "push the Jews into the sea" and take over Israel.
Jordan was in charge of Jerusalem and nobody but Muslims were allowed inside. Jordan is 90% Palis, so they already have a country. 57 Muslim countries vs. 1 Jewish one.

The Arab leaders in 1948 told the Arabs to go to camps, until "all the Jews would be pushed into the sea." Then Israel was attacked many times by the Arabs and won. The biggest mistake of Israel was not to kick out the Arabs after they acquired land from being attacked, hence the "occupied territories" which are not occupied by anyone. The Arabs should be deported from this land.

I think it is incredibly important to distinguish between Israelis and the Israeli State. The majority of what the State does, does not benefit the Israeli people either. Also, in my opinion, the biggest, and most important opposition to the oppressive policies of the State of Israel is from within Israel itself. Equating the Israeli people with the actions of the government is like saying ALL Amerians are guilty of murdering Iraqi civilians... It's closed minded and simply false.

0 Israeli homes have been demolished by Palestinians and 18,147 Palestinian homes have been demolished by Israel since 1967. Racist demolition of people's homes. What 1967 invasion? In 1967 Israel was attacked, this was called the 6 day war. Israel was attacked by Egypt, Syria, and Jordan plus the nations of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria also contributed troops and arms to the Arab forces.
Israel acquired land from this attack, perpetrated by the Arabs, just like every Israeli war. Don't attack Israel and if you do, don't cry when you lose the war that you started.

I see you still revel in ignorance. To not know about Israel's attack on a US ship in 1967 when it deliberately killed 34 American sailors, THESE WERE AMERICANS THAT ISRAEL KILLED, I'm not surprised.
