  • @TotalMK

    i know the blood code

    2, 1, 2, Down, Up

  • i can see your hands

  • Mortal Kombat (Game Gear)

    Graphics: 7/10

    Sound: 6/10

    Game play: 6/10

    Fun Factor: 5/10

    Overall: 24/40 (6/10)

  • LOL!!!

I found a mistake in your video!,instead of review, you said "Interview"

i dont really care but good review though lol

  • it does the move it every time when after u press back forward, u wait about a second and then press to. i had the same problem earlier

  • Nice!

  • please be more cheerful taping thous buttons

  • I had no problem with doing the moves on this game. This version is the one I have clocked the most hours in. between Genesis/SNES/and Game Gear. I've never had the temptation to play on Game Boy. Honestly once I got Game Gear I almost never touched the Game Boy again. Till Poke-e-mans. lol

  • this version of this game fucking rocked the gameboy version was okay but this version is awesome

  • man the fatalitys are much better than in the snes jajajaja

  • well it looks okey

  • i wouldent mind haveing that version

  • i have a game gear and to make the screen better theres a brightness control on the side of the system

  • my dad still has one and it works

  • Nice!

  • When I had the Game Gear it had a nice bright and vivid screen. I wonder if they had the brightness turned up? Unless it's to do with the filming screen not capturing the Game Gear screen too well?

  • you cant use the port for the tv its for ear phones

  • Damn i remeber playing one of those game gear. I love it more then the gameboy because it had color but it wasn't as big as the gameboy was.

  • if you went straight from arcade, of course youre not gonna like it, but if you are after playing the game boy version, then its absoultely superb

  • your opinion on this version is the same as what i think of mk2 for mega drive, if im just after the game boy/game gear versions then id think "wow this is awesome, 10/10", but if i went straight from arcade to it, no its not the type id want to play

  • Blood Code

At the "Definition of Code" screen, press 2, 1, 2, Down, Up.

  • personally, i really enjoyed this version :)

for what it was, it played very well

  • Ever played the amiga version?

  • have you ever got to goro or shang tsung on this version?

  • one of...

is it not just this console you cant play on a big screen?

  • Nope, the only way is to use emulators but I don't want to use them in my review.

  • sorry, i meant

is this the only console you've got that you cant play on a big screeen?

  • Well if I review the LCD games I can't put those on a big screen...um...I think thats all.

  • if i remember that game correctly the special move is back, back forward??? i dont have it anymore to test it...

  • you could just put the game gear at an angle the change the screen contrast.

  • wtf...you think I didn't try that.

A: I had it on an angle in the video

B: Already played with the contrast thats the best you are ganna get.

  • sorry

  • Well to me to compare the Genesis verion to the Game gear, Gameplay wise, it lags a little for what I've a remember, but not much though, graphics, I didn't notice on the characters, but I've notice on other sprites, and sound, I did notice, when I was Younger.

  • i played mk1 for game gear back in days, it looked cool to me then, now its definetly not lol

  • wats the best game gear one wich ones should i buy

  • i like this version, the musics good and the game play is great

  • the reason that its so hard to pull of special moves is because it lags a bit and you have to do the button combinations a little slower than you would in say, the mega drive version.

  • I did do them slower...it still didn't work most of the time.

  • i wish i could get my hands on mk1

  • ah you froze me you bitch lol

  • if u press start and 1 youll do johnny cages split punch and if u do 2 at the same time u get a combo

  • fatality.

  • The blood code for game gear is 2,1,2,D,U.

  • why did they spell Raidens name wrong in ALL the home versions of MK 1-3

  • something to do with copyrights or something like that...

  • decent game my grandson got me it when it came out for my 90th birthday

  • !Great Review mk1!

  • xP haha great review dude that bouh xP sound haha cool i like your reviews dude i are one of the best of the best 10 for 10 keep the great job mk for life! xP

  • i have the xbox 360 mortal kombat 3

  • I wasn't insulting TMK, I was insulting daby0

  • Good review, are you gonna review the Sega CD version of Mortal Kombat 1 cause that versions pretty good

  • in all honesty you should do these with an emulator.

  • Emulators are decent, but never emulate perfectly. I like to use the original consoles.

  • Then why don't you own the actual arcade machines instead of using MAME? Just jokin man! Keep up the good work!

  • I do own the actual arcade machine...have you see my arcade videos? ;) I havn't used mame in any videos.

  • opps..I should add I havn't used MAME in any of my "review" videos...I used it once to show the infinate babality. (Because my arcade machine screen needs to get fixed.)

  • That is awesome. I didn't know you had the arcade machine! =)

  • the code is actually 2 1 2 down up

  • like I said lol just keep pressing 2,1,u,d and the code will work lol

  • tmk is the best !!!

  • You suck more than your mother

  • dynastyxl get the fuck out my country you embarrassing piece of shit

  • this reply was for dynastyxl. not for you,TMK ;)

  • Daby0 You suck balls

  • How many Systems do you have ?

  • Hey thats Mean.

  • Excellent Review Of Mortal Kombat 1 For The Game Gear, The Master System Version Is Very Identical, The Gameplay Isn't That Bad, It's Pretty Good To Say The Least, So Anyways Good Job 5/5

  • I sort of figured that you had those, the Master System versions that is. Also, very true, they are close but not exact. Much like most Master System to Game Gear game ports, the resolution on the Game Gear is significantly smaller.

It's so neat to see someone do reviews of ALL of the home ports of the MK's, Keep the great videos coming.

  • I also wanted to add that if you wanted to do a full screen recording like your other reviews, you could get the Sega Master System versions, they are very much identical to the Game Gear versions. They're definitely worth having, especially for a true MK fan like yourself!

  • I have them and will be doing Master System. But even tho they are close they are not the same.

  • Awesome review as usual TMK!

Actually, the reason that the moves weren't working for you is because you have to do them slowly, I've had this game since it was brand new and I found this out early on, it's definitely something that you have to get used to.

Not a perfect port by any means, but a pretty decent effort for a handheld MK.

  • I tried do them slowly, it didn't work...I was do the move with differant speeds.

  • The number one arcade game is here is all that needs to be said about MK1. They were smart just to put that. Too much text description confuses people, and turns them away from the actual product.

And you should make your own Atari sound effects.

  • you could use an emulator , or maybe that's

    no your style ;)

  • Indeed....I have emulators but I like to review the games using the actual source hardware.

  • You dont like my reviews then fuck off and GTFO. No one is forcing you to be here you peice of shit.

  • Ha you owned him TMK.

    But, seriously fuck off dynasty.

  • you are a damn piece of shit!
