  • Excellent, Scott didn't like his stuff played fast, but you have mad skills.

  • good job!! very nice

  • I'm currently learning this rag and I prefer it when it is played at this speed. You perform it brilliantly, and I agree with the other comments; this is easily the best performance of Magnetic Rag that I have heard on youtube.

  • That's my favorite performance of this piece here on youtube

  • @KOPMOPAH thanjk you very much for watching, this is one of my best videos, and one of the coolest joplin' rags

  • I love the way you have presented this rag. I've recently gained a huge interest in Joplin, and seeing this has inspired me to learn and master the Magnetic Rag. Ragtime is a wonderful genre, especially when played on the solo piano.

  • thank you very much for your time. mind to have a look at Rod Miller's way of playing ragtime (many videos in youtube). though he plays in a rather uptempo fashion, his raggy mood is what inspired me the most

  • This is absolutely amazing!

  • This is amazingtake a look at my new piano videos i have just uploaded! (especially the tempest sonata)please comment and rate. thanks

  • It's the best performance of the "Magnetic Rag" I've so far seen on YouTube.

Don't worry if some people call it's rushed - I believe you have a very good control/timing and very good understanding of Joplin's style. It sounds more rag and more Joplin to me than other versions.

  • thank you very much for your visit and comment sir

  • Nice job! I, too, like it at this tempo.

  • dont listen to these noobs, your interpretation and tempo is great... the definition of a fast tempo was a lot different 100 years ago (this was a time period when piano players only played based on velocity to show off their skill), these speed players ruined the fine rags, but obviously in this day of age such speed players do not exist, and thus this tempo is great

  • thanks, that's more how i think the thing was at the time, since these rags were also played in public places, i think people used to dance it too

  • thanks, i'll take care of that part i the next ones.. like scott wrote himself, to not play fast

  • gorgeous! you got it!

nevertheless, I think it should be played a bit slower, rag isn't something to rush over with :)

    great work indeed!

  • Amazing, I like your interpretation of this ragtime very much. Congrats.

  • thank you very much, i'll have a look on your videos once out of the rush of the day

  • Very nice, you have great technical control of this piece.

I think it felt just a little rushed, but my preference when playing rags is to take a little more time.

  • thanks for watching!

now that i hear it again, i feel too it's kind of uptempoed. maybe it's because the 'original piano rolls' i listened before are played sort of quicker too, so the sound sticks in your head

  • I have never heard this song played so smoothly before. Incredible.

  • thank you very much for your time. by the way, i watched your videos in your channel, and you rock man.

  • Superb, God you are great

  • thank you for watchin!

  • Nossa! Que agilidade! Parabéns! De onde você é?

  • valeu por assistir, cara... sou de porto alegre

  • A little fast but still awesome!

  • thanks man, this rag pushed my nerves to the limit
