Pretty good. Horrid digital ad/da distortion on the convertors of whatever recording device there was. I wish more people would pay attention to this part of any audio recording. The tiney fet mics in cell phones and digi-cams cannot take the up close proximity of a loud source, and splatter very easily. Therefore, ruining a good performance.

This didn't sound as good as Rafael Mendez but that could have been the volume on my computer OR the fact that Rafael used a mute. I wondered why he did that but I think it enhanced the tone quite a bit. I wish I could play just slightly as well as these guys but I graduated from high school in '77 and have just gotten back into music the last 2 years. We have a brass quartet/quintet at church led by the h.s. band teacher on lead trumpet. He can play the bumblebee while my mouth just hangs open!

Good job.However,what this demonstrates is that this piece is within the capabilities of MANY players.Indeed,it's almost a requirement that cornet,trumpet,and euphonium players master this if they wish to be considered accomplished as a brasswind instrumentalist.There are far more challenging compositions for valved brass instruments than this,which is little more than a difficult study involving tongue and finger coordination along with good breath control. Averil has obviously done his work.
