shedding animals will do this in the wild so they dont leave a trace of their presence to any possible surrounding predators. doing it in captivity is just being true to their instincts.
There is a giant hognose in the collection that I've seen do this as well, but only 2 times. The cribo on the other hand does so quite frequently. I've seen her do it at least 10 times. Strange snake.

It is cool. Everyone that see it in person is amazed.
I also have a giant hog that has done it, but only twice that I know of. The cribo on the other hand is as predictable as time.
