    There's also about 100x the concentration of sodium nitrate in celery as there is sodium nitrite in processed meat. Both are used by the body to make the beneficial neurotransmitter and vasodilator nitrogen oxide. Nitrates and nitrates have also been found to prevent cancer.

It's pretty much luck of the draw if you get cancer or not, and cancers cannot be pinpointed to any single one carcinogen. Also, as someone else pointed out, nitrates and nitrites occur naturally in many vegetables humans eat, so one cannot point the finger at processed meats for cancer.

  • Fresh meat isn't normally red to begin with. Old meat turns red when exposed to oxygen too long. The freshest meat will have a brownish look to is because oxygen hasn't turned it red yet. Consumers just happen to find the color red more appetizing than brown.

    Why is being vegan silly?

    There are alternatives to milk. There are oat milk, soya milk, rice milk, almond milk, etc.

    As for eggs I would rather not. Eggs are high in bad cholesterol, they have salmonella and way too much protein causing your body to leech calcium from your bones to get rid of the excess proteins. They bad for your heart and blood vessels.

    Cheese is what is left after the bacteria have consumed all the good stuff.

    I would rather stay away from such foods..

    A lot of it passes straight through to the milk you drink. The liver might take some of it but not all. Cooking does not get rid of it. You have to cook it so well it would not be worth eating.

    If you eat plants and veg you still get the chemicals but it is a very small dose. You not getting the whole fields worth like with an animal.

    No, you get a concentrated dose when you eat the animal or drink its milk. The farmer sprays his field the animal comes along and starts grazing, then the animal has its milk taken or the animal is butchered and it ends up in the shop and you drink or eat it. You will get a much higher dose then me. After all the animal ate the whole field that had been sprayed while I just get what was sprayed on the fruit/vegetable and thats washed off during washing.

  • This is not true, If properly handled and administered correctly Sodium Nitrite is not even present in the final product, It turns to gas at a certain temperature and evaporates out of the product. Celery and spinach are naturally high in Nitrites but have the same curing effect on processed meats. Only celery powder doesn't look as scary on the ingredient label. Educate yourself people, these guys are spewing propaganda.

It starts off with one sugar molecule and three hydroxyl molecules. The three hydroxyl molecules are replaced with chlorine molecules. If that's not chlorine...then I don't know what is!     Since when is sucralose the same as chlorine? Chlorine is simply an atom (normally a gas in the form of Cl2). Sucralose is 1,6-Dichloro-1,6-dideoxy-β-D-f­ructofuranosyl-4-chloro-4-deox­y-α-D-galactopyranoside. Basically, sucrose with three hydroxyl groups converted to chlorides. Huge difference.

    What you're doing is basically the same as telling people not to eat table salt "because it's got a chlorine atom". Moron.

    I don't say that having "pristine insides" is a goal. That's not even possible for vegetarians. But please don't believe EVERYTHING the FDA tells you. They are paid off.

  • well if we all take the shockingly casual aproach you seem to have to the far reaching afects of modifed crops cross polinating and making mutant crops with who knows what chemical changes and impact on insects impossible to stop once in the enviroment we STILL have the altered molecular structures of GM crops that potentialy create a whole cart load of dangers to YOU when you eat them.

I have done research papers on this topic, not to mention attended lectures on this debate! there are pro's ans con's to GMO'S!-PERIOD! it is controversial and and no solid conclusion has been made!

GMO's have been around for more than 10 years and we have not had any health conditions due to them, and I know that is not exactly justifiable because transfat has been around for at least 80 years and we are just now finding out it is extremely bad. But GMO's is a controversial topic, so know your facts before you just flat out say they are bad!

The "experts" have no conclusions yet, and I say that is art speak for no has proved its bad yet, does nor mean its not though, and common sence says DONT DO IT. 10 years Iis nothing, plus why the HUGE increase in allergy and asthma??? in the las DECADE!

  • one more point, do you consume rapeseed oil? canola as you may know it. Hope not!! it contains euric acid, destroys the walls of arterys, damages the heart and cuases cancer, but guess what its CHEAP to produce and has low bad lipids so they ignored the danger, modified it to remove MOST but not ALL the eruic acid and now just about everything contains it. A BIG heath problem fpr the future. It used to be used as an AGRICULTURAL OIL becaus eof its penatrative properies! now you EAT it!

  • Thank you for the video about Tsem Tulku Rinpoche the Animals Lover. It was very nice to see people do the opposite saving animals instead of EATING them! I hope he gets his animal shelter. I read online that hes really promoting vegetarianism and non-violence towards animals, getting involved with Kathmandu Animal Treatment Center and various NGOs. We need more people like him and PETA! Stop eating carcasses.

    You can see that there are many variety of vegetarian food available in Asia, such as Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc. I wonder if there are going to be any restaurant like that here, then I can say goodbye to my burgers!
