Doesn't sound like stereo remix. I still get some instruments and vocals out of one channel, and others out of the other, just like with mono.

@crazziejoe Well, that definitely is Paul on the guitar solo, but I'm not sure if that's how the actual story goes. I always thought that Paul was the one who came up with the solo and added it in there. It's seriously one of the best guitar solos ever. It's short, but it comes out of nowhere, and it sounds so quirky and everything, it's just so cool sounding! It disappoints me when I hear the song played live, and the guitar solo is done by some one else, and it's not like Paul's solo. :/

They say they were on acid. I think " I'm only sleeping " was on Lennon's mind for quite a long time.

I think lennon wrote this song, as if to say, leave us alone... Let us make music etc...

Keep in mind the fact, that they were very tired of concerting, commercials, films and so on...

So they shut themselves in the studio and made music. Love the music, love the Beatles.

This is awful compared to the mono. The vocals and instruments at times are completely on separate speakers and not as full sounding. Often times some instrumental sounds are lost in the stereo versions of these albums when compared to the mono.

I was there when this was released in 1966. It was like hot afternoons near the highway. Semi's passing through. An oil rig in the distance. And in the heat waves you see three skeletons holding hands and dancing. You also hear a humming sound.., like from a telephone pole. That's what the album did to me! Outta site!

lil advice, dont down load too many older songs on mp3, it been proven that songs available in mp3 format are of a lesser sound quality then what you would find compared to cd versions, there was a story in rolling stone how trent reznor and neil young are pushing to have better mp3 quality put out, couple of months ago i bought Cult Of Personality off of itunes, and it sounded like shit with way too much compression. but if people want low quality for 99 cents, you get what you pay for

I usually download songs to preview them. Then go out and by the CD or vinyl record. I know that MP3 sounds like crap compared to CD and Vinyl. Also older songs usually don't sound too good when mastered digitally.Analog sound is the way to go if you want a higher sampling rate and all that. The only good format for downloading if FLAC and high bit rate WAV.

well some artist ill make a point to get their cds just to enjoy the full quality, stones, zeppelin, prince, hendrix, nine inch nails, pink floyd, public enemy, tool, but alot of that pop stuff thats out now to be honest it doesnt make a difference whether i download it or not, and im not saying that in terms of the music sucks, its just that from a mix stand point, its got no real life to it, like if it sounds loud and the bass blows out your windows good enough

I knew what you mean man.I was saying if ppl want good highs and lows get vinyl record format. With a CD the highs and lows are chopped since the music is compressed. I have a mid grade sound set up in my living room. CD's sound good, but vinyl just sounds so much better.Yeah, CD's do have louder bass than vinyl, or that is what my ears hear.

I can hear just from these samples that the music is clearer and more powerful. The better your system the more you will benefit. Your boom box is using a digital amplifier that is quite powerful and is not something that was commonly available more than ten years ago so, while not audiophile gear, you SHOULD notice less muddy bass content on some songs particularly on albums from Revolver on through Abbey Road. I'd recommend the song THIS BOY from the Past Masters set for a big hit of bass

I am sure you will notice a difference at least with a decent pair of headphones. I am using a pair of 20 dollar headphones, and Creative TI3300 computer speakers to belt out these remasters. They sound f-ing great!

Being a "boomer," I was there when the Beatles hit the charts. We had to wait for each new song to come out. Why rush, people? The new Capital albums came out around Christmas in the States, so my eldest sister would get the last Beatle album for Christmas, which she'd play over and over all Christmas day. The 45s (which we five sibs were not allowed to touch!) were bought with her babysitting and allowance. ALL were worth the wait.
