  • Awesome

  • Swan Brooner's cover is better.

  • I HEART OLIVER

  • if you love this song send it further to your freinds so everybody can get this felling!

  • lol my mum and my sister are both singing in the kitchen

  • 22 people didn't find where love is

  • @RichardElden

    Well, lucky them.

Hollywood still voice dubs, by the way. It doesn't matter that the boys in the theater did their own singing. This is a movie, not a theater.

  • Linda e eterna

  • i cant look at his singing videos again knowing the top comments right -_-

  • @critterladyme realy it sound like a boy

  • T~T

  • *cryin* hes really cute, and he could sing it.its so touching !

  • Whereeeee is Lough...borough...?

  • i sang this song for a solo in 6th grade and it was the best and it made me want to sing this song every day

  • why doesnt this have more views?!

  • I first watched Oliver! when I was 8 till the age of 12 this scene I cried so much at

  • If this doesn't moved you or touched you , I think it's time you see a shrink :(

  • Michael Jackson was inspired by this film to become a singer. Later, Mark Lester, donated his DNA to Michael to create his children. Life imitates Art or Ar imitates Life.

  • If this does not touch your heart your very lucky indeed x

  • I cannot see why some people are so rude about good stuff like this. I'm sure most of the nasty comments on here are here because the poster had nothing better to do. It sickens me to see people do this.

Hollywood does what you say they did in this movie still. They dubbed in many films, and still do. Your saying it like it's a crime for them to do it.

And some of us don't need to know all this dirt you give on the actor. He was 9 when he did this part for pete's sake! And now you heckle?

  • Almsot every time I watch this movie I want to go there and adopt him just so he can have some love!

  • @JuanMacready

How negative. I don't understand how some of you people who say negative stuff about these awesome movies can even dare write it here. You're comments are awful.

Can anyone else understand why people liek to post the dirty things about reall good movies like this?

  • @RichardElden

So are you saying that every part of him in this film, even his speaking was dubbed?

I read somewhere that they also had to dub him because he had some sort of disability?

  • After seeing this move I actually started reading the actualy Dickens novel. I also got the soundtrack from the public library and have all the songs. It's movies like these that make my life wonderful!

  • This song makes me tear up every time I hear it. It's such a sweet song and one of my favorites in this movie.

  • mad men sent me here

  • Sung by Kathe Green. Look up her music on Youtube (recorded as an adult), you can still hear a little "Oliver" charm in her voice.

  • As Mr. Bumble and the rest of the undertakers threw Oliver in the basement, I remember Mr. Bumble telling Oliver that he will stay in the basement until everyone decided what to do with him (hopefully it didn't mean to kill him or anything bad) with one of undertaker giving Oliver his suitcase but, I wonder how many days they would keep him in the basement and where Oliver would sleep and what he would eat (in the song Oliver it was said that he would be thrown in a cellar and fed cockroaches).

  • Oliver was lucky to see an open window since if that window didn't open, he probably would have suffered for the rest of his life with the undertakers, and his fortune to seek love from Fagin, Dodger, and the rest of the thieves, and Mr. Brownlow wouldn't of been granted.

  • Those undertaker's were crazy to put Oliver in the basement as a punishment since they should have known that there was a window that opens that Oliver could escape.

  • Mark Lester was very adorable as a little boy but this singing is definitely fake. I honestly don't know if it really would have mattered if his singing voice was good or not.

  • This is actually dubbed it is so obvious. One of the technician's children (a girl) sang his songs.

  • Young Mark looks exactly like a guy i know no joke

  • Just been Youtubing all the 'Oliver!' songs. My God! Forgot how bloody brilliant they were!

  • this is my fave song..

  • Very touching! So beautiful......

    Satan like this!

  • 19 people haven't watched the movie because if you had @ this point of the Movie you'd be bawling your eyes out.

  • BAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • How did we go from this to Avatar and Transformers......Pity they don't make these kinds of films anymore, so gripping, it unites the past with the present. Charles Dickens's books are perfect for giving us a taste of what life was like in the 19th Century. Lovely musical.

  • Awwww...love is here, Oliver.

  • @tuffymelon Yeah! *hugs*

  • Where is love???

  • Back in '69, my H.S. Sweetheart picked this song to sing in a play we did, called "As Pure As The Driven Snow"...and to this day, 42 years later, this is still the song that gets to my heartstrings. We were recently reunited...and 'Where Is Love' has such meaning, even more so, now! Thank you for posting this!

  • Just found out it's not Mark Lester singing - the voice was dubbed in, and is actually a producer's daughter. (Revealed in 1988)

  • @critterladyme i saw the movie and was wondering the same thing. :) seriously?haha

  • my dad introduced me to this movie when i was just a little boy.. i fell in love with it.. this song will always remind me of my dad and my childhood..i cry even just listening to it because i start thinking of the special memories i had with my dad.

  • One of the great musical of all time...My all time favorite!

  • It took me so long to find that willow tree in my dreams - nothing - went sky diving - nothing - closed my eye's - nothing!! if love could be found & not created - innocent people need not die.

  • The kid in us, killed when we were young, To the hope in us, trying to re-emerge from the ashes. The adults we become, but not before the kid in us either survives or is doomed forever. Where is love? You tell me, we may have kids to love, but if we didn't really get love as a kid, that time is gone forever. Where is love? One one level gone forever, on another level coming back at us, head on. Are you ready for love this time?

  • @Artemis3691 Your turf? Butt off.

  • i love this song

  • love this song

  • wow, it still brings a tear to my eye, 41 years later. That is the calling of a great piece of music, and a beautiful performance.

  • i lost one of my best friends recently...i just decided to look up oliver cuz i love oliver this came up..i hesitated and now im bawling my eyes out

  • This song is very memorable...reminiscing back in time...younger then...beautiful.

  • This is one of my favorite musicals...I just want someone who understands me...who wants to be with me...one who is not afraid of me...I know one day I will find that someone who I can mean something to...but until then I will wait on the lord!!

  • I just lost my mom last month at the age of 90. Among many gifts, she gave me a love of Broadway musicals... and the middle name "Oliver." I miss you, Mama.

  • @broadcast185 He didn't sing it -- it was sung by the daughter of the music arranger on the film. Apparently Mark Lester was hopeless at singing. So maybe you actually were better than him!

  • singing this song for audition on tuesday for the phantom of the opera 2

  • Type in "Darin Good Oliver" in the search bar to see me sing "Where is Love?" in our school's production of "Oliver!" Thanks! :)

  • I thougl that was Where Is The Love by Black Eyed peas! Lol

  • i might be oliver in our schools production of oliver so ille need to be able to sing it. i like it too!!

  • about 3 years ago, my mom and sister were killed in a plane crash. a few months later, i got the lead role in this show at our high school. i still sing this song because it... it just gets to me, you know? its the one song i never forgot from that show, because i feel like it actually applies to me. this is what got me into music, because it was just so soothing. as a great man once said, "Music was not created for one's entertainment, rather to heal one's soul." that definitely rings true.

  • @reaperserasedu So sad reading your story. All the best to you.

  • isnt it 1968??

  • This song always made me cry and it touched my heart so many times... once I went to an orphanage as a volunteer and we played this song with the movie clip to all the children. It was amazing how many of the young orphans cried, and so many of my schoolmates were crying too. I cried floods... this is the best song ever.

  • This song always gets to me. My mother died when I was 10, and my dad married a woman who personally hates me. I'm 18 now, and am being forced to leave the house this summer because my presence is too stressful for my stepmother. I used to have two parents that I loved, and now I have none.

  • we are doing this school production this year, and i'm playing oliver. (:

  • I just have to buy and watch this movie! sooo cute and sad!

  • SANG THAT SCHOOL......SCHOOL DAYS HA HAAAA

  • This kid & this song remind me of my youngest son..... His mom left us when he was three he used to watch Dumbo everynight becuase he loved Mrs Jumbo... She "miraculously" got custody & I haven't seen him in almost 2 years

  • i love marl lester's voice in this movie. i love this song, and I can't find a digital copy to purchase/download

  • This is the first musical that I ever saw and I fell in love with this little boy and musical's in general as a result!

  • I love this song. Its so sad. And I can totally relate to him. :(

I wish I aslo lived in Victiorian london. It was the coolest :)

  • @emilynesheva

EVery time I watch this movie I get that same thought in my head. Dicken's stories were so good they made you feel like you were really there.

I think I might go into my room and watch my copy of this musical right now!

  • Why is a 49 year old grown male twice the age of the harlot called the boy as payment for a harlot.. Well- I guess I never stopped being Oliver looking for real love..I found that love in Jesus Christ- some may think I have no friends but wait until God decides to really defend me- You aint seen nothing my friends- best not to make the Angel of His Presence mad enough to react- that would not be good for the USA..

  • Ouch

  • @RichardElden: True. He was only cast because of his supposedly "angelic" looks and because of his also supposedly successful role in "Our Mother's House." I'm sure there was plenty of other boy actors who looked the part *and* could sing. Casting Lester was a failure on Reed's part.

  • @Terephiel He's a little boy, it doesn't matter if his voice is impeccable.

  • @Terephiel

I actually like him in this movie. He's so cute and makes the perfect Oliver. Who cares if his voice was dubbed. Hollywood does it all the time.

  • My school is doing Oliver for the musical this year. Whenever we hear this song, we collectively swoon.

  • @Catatonyx

our school too. I have to sing thi song so id better train >.<

  • @RichardElden: Not gonna respond to that particular comment because it's so controversial; however, I stand by what I said. I heard a distinct, nasally and off-note voice in the end that was clearly not Kathe's but sounded exactly like Mark Lester. I believe he sang his parts, but then was either dubbed over by Kathe Green or the two voices were blended together to reach the final result.

  • We are doing this in my school choir and im trying to get the solo and thanks to your video I just might!

  • John 4:7 : let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

  • Where is love tho?

  • fun fact: the directors daughter sang this song for the actor

  • I was Oliver in a play i did and it was so fun

  • i love oliver, great song!

  • There is no love in this world

  • @Psalm45dreamer It may seem that way, but just trust me when I say there's more love than hate in the world. You've just got to look hard enough. :)

  • @Psalm45dreamer Of course there's love. Stop looking for it, and instead, give it. I'm not talking strictly talking about romantic love. I'm speaking of universal love. Love energy attracts love energy.

  • @RichardElden: I'm aware of that. However, it's certainly not Kathe's voice I heard in the end of "Who Will Buy?," and it definitely sounded like Mark. Someone on IMDB said that Mark himself claimed he did some of the singing and/or his voice was blended with hers in a somewhat recent interview.

  • I actually just found out that Mark Lester really *did* sing his parts, although it was either blended with Kathe Green's voice or they missed this during the dubbing process. I have the soundtrack and was listening closely to "Who Will Buy?" You can hear a voice that's clearly Lester's near the very end if you listen closely enough. I can understand why they wanted to use Green -- Lester sounded like Squidward from "Spongebob Squarepants."

  • Mad Men.

  • Omg I love this song

  • This song ROCKS! My 11 year old son is singing this at his school concert, and he had to add a post. Thanks for posting this song.

  • @10lilrebel GREAT!!!!!!! I WISH YOUR SON A GREAT LUCK!!!!! That's one of my favorite songs, and I want you to post a vid about it!!!

  • I love this song. Didnt know that Lester didnt sing this until I got info on DVD.

  • I loved my Mother more than she loved me. She couldn't help it. But I was a good and loving son to her and I think of her every night before I go to sleep.

  • LOVE VERSUS DEATH AND GOD IS ABOUT TO DESTROY THE DEAD CHURCH OF AMERICA- TIME FOR A HAIL MARRY PASS...GO DEEP..I MEAN GO LONG.. WHAT THE FUCK? DO SOMETHING OR WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE...

  • this a beautiful song

  • Im singing this for an audition for our school musical of oliver!

  • I had to listen to this for a music exam, and since then, it's been stuck in my head :)

  • I was adopted by a great father but a mother who on a regular basis, told me I was not what she wanted. IWhen I heard this song as a child, I cried. I have alays wanted a Mother and all I can say is this is the song that make me think, all along, I had one, because my mother gave me up for adoption, she did not abort me. So, even tho I don't see her and I don't know who she is or where she is, she will always remain in my heart.

  • @mommaswatchinUagain i feel realy sory for you

  • @mommaswatchinUagain awwwww, thats sooooo cutee and .. sad :'( i feel for youu xxxxxxxxxxxx

  • @mommaswatchinUagain i was not adopted and not obviously aborted but i was told i was hated and not wanted amongst other vile things everyday since i can remember.

I got away and still that piece of crap rules my life.

Having therapy - it is releasing me slowly...

  • @mommaswatchinUagain ur such a good person for not hating you.. so let me get this straight... u had a mom who put u up 4 adoption, then ur foster parents r an awesome dad and an ungrateful mom? i am brought to almost tears because of that... god bless

  • @mommaswatchinUagain awww.. i hope u have a good life! ^^

  • that's really sad well at least you know that this is world is filled with different souls.......so no matter what the good thing is u still treasure your mum :D

  • @mommaswatchinUagain

Do not worry God will stand by your side <3

  • @mommaswatchinUagain that just made me cry

  • @brightlights456X ...your comments are uncalled for. I am grateful for my Father, maybe if you read it correctly, you would see. I was abused by my adopted Mother, my biological Mother will always remain in my heart. I think the brightlights have blinded your sight...now crawl back in the hole from which you came from.

  • @mommaswatchinUagain

You're biological Mother put you up for adoption, and like I stated before "Thats a bit stupid, even a spider takes care of its young".

  • @mommaswatchinUagain Im so sorryx

  • @mommaswatchinUagain bless you

  • @mommaswatchinUagain I totally empathise. Dreaming of the possibility of 'someone, somewhere out there' who could love you clearly keeps you going in that respect. I, too, was adopted and brought up by a mother who did not want me, although I got along with my father. I envy friends of mine who are close to their families. And this song? My adoptive mother used to wonder why it made me sad....

  • IN THE END- OBAMA'S BOYZ LET ME GO- THEY EVEN FIGURED THAT ELIJAH WOULD BE SOMEONE LIKE MYSELF- CRAZY- BUT I DIDN'T EVEN THINK FOR A MOMENT THAT BUSH'S OIL AND GAS KILLERS STILL HAD THE POWER- IN THE END- IT WONT BE OBAMA BOYS THAT KILL ME- IT WILL BE THE SAME BUSH TEAM THAT DID 9-11. WHY KILL ME? SO THEY CAN BLAME IT OBAMA...

  • I was 20 when this came out. I, too, felt the emotion of this song, since I was adopted. I did meet my birth mother ten years later. There was no singing. She was mean. And I had to clean up after she died a few years ago. My Mom's last words to me were, "don't take shit from anyone." Well, I don't.
