May Allah, Almighty God, reward this great man for everything that he did. A truly fearless warrior. I'm a 20 year old young man and this man, 46 years after his death still is inspiring so many today. The reincarnation of a true African warrior, one who is willing to pay the ultimate price for the freedom of not himself, but of his people. Giving his life, leaving his children and leaving the Nation of Islam, because this man was a clean soul, just wanting truth instead of all the hypocrisy.
Why didnt they go to the Gravesite? When I Pray for My Grandpa, I Go to his Gravesite, Sit and Read The Surah Yasiin. InshaAllah I will go to his grave in the Future.
@AwesomeEmir because it is not the Sunnah but they still can visit the Rasool (saaw) said to visit the grave as a reminder of your place to come inshallah
I am a white jewish male and to me, Malcolm X was without a doubt, he was one of the most intelligent persons I have ever listened to. What people didn't like about him was that he spoke the truth... and he ultimately paid the price because of it. Forget about Islam, black or white.. truth is truth no matter what color or religion you are.
mogunz21 / isaahmed - there is every point in visiting the believers' graves to give salam and make dua for them, because their soles are alive thus they hear those who pass by their graves. p.s. the prophet (saw) used to visit the graves of the believers too. study before you critise, especially against proven scholars who are working so hard to spread the truth to all. peace
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: May Allaah curse the Jews and the Christians, for they have taken the graves of their Prophets as places of worship. (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 435; Muslim, 529).
na'am akhi jazaakallahu khair...i don't get the purpose of this of this at all really...they could've done all of this with actually visiting the cemetary...allahu msta'aan
brother be careful not to critise other muslims without knowledge and understanding.
they are not visiting a prophet's grave and they are not worshiping it. they are visiting a believer's grave and making dua for him, just as Prophet Muhammad (saw) used to do.
(TO GJOKER) To be honest with you - i think you start your knoledge bout Islam from wrong side. You shouldn't search for minuses, dear brother, cause if you will want that - you will make it, you know? I was Christian myself, but when i start understandin' Islam, i couldnt't deny its true.
Hello, brother! Yes, you heard it right (almost). 1.Pig - is the most dirty animal. 2.Prayin' 5 times man's duty (i know it's difficult, but you shouldn't turn it down cause of difficulties). 3. And feet? No, brother, it's not necessary =)
(TO GJOKER) Malcolm was disinformed some time, cause of Elijah Muhhamad. But when he's found out what is real Islam - he was not violent person, brother! He was kind, and brave and fought for justice!
God bless him, and you, brother! Sorry if i was rude.
This man does not know his facts. Malcom X was for violence. He was not for religion. He was a racist and very violent individual. I guess that is what Islam is all about.
say: "You don't know me, you bum! Find out who and what am I - then say your word!" - that's what you're gonna say. So, brother, try to understand Islam - then make your withdrawal, and post your opinion publicly.
I have tried to understand Islam, However, I find Islam to be very unusual. I heard Muslims wash their feet before entering a mosque; pray five times a day; abstain from pork; and fast for one month. I find this to be very weird.
Most people I know have a somewhat negative view of him because of his use/encouragement of violence.
Evem though he may have been a 'good example of a good Muslim' and fought for equal rights - don't you think he'd be a bad example to give soley because of the use/encouragment of violence?
Yes he was that way, but when he came back from Hajj (The Pilgrimage to Mecca) he was a changed man. He discarded his racist views and embraced the brotherhood of humanity with an open heart. This was shortly before his death. I think if you see the Spike Lee movie "X" you'll see that.
@UltraBLACKKK Thats very correct brotha and in response to healthyaddict Malcolm always said that he never advocated nor encouraged violence, nor did the nation of Islam in the 30 or 40 some years of there existence. He believed that it was the guilt complex of the american white man, that blame him for advocating hate when in actuality he was expressing the truth of the negro conditions in america and trying to bring about justification for those conditions which we can all agree were terrible
Sorry and I don't mean to be disrespecful, but ARE U SERIOUS? Are you not aware of the treatment that the Black African American received during this time? The atrosities committed, the lynching, the murder, the assacinations, etc. How would you react if is your house being bombed with your children in there.
Sorry and I don't mean to be disrespecful, but ARE U SERIOUS? Are you not aware of the treatment that the Black African American received during this time? The atrosities committed, the lynching, the murder, the assacinations, etc. How would you react if is your house being bombed with your children in there.
Black African American try to let themselves heard in a peaceful manner with Martin Luther king Jr, singing and peacefully protesting, and did you saw how they were beat up while they were doing this peacefully acts? Not only were they beat up, they were insulted, they had police dogs attacking them, they were being sprayed with fire department water hoses...
Black African American should've fought against this oppression a long time ago. All that peacefully trying to let their voices get heard, took way to long. You know what it is, to be in such oppression for over 400 years? Do You? I can only imagine the pain that this people went through.
And all I can only ask is that May Allah reward this people that spoke out against this evil, reward the people that were victims of such oppression and And hope also that Allah reward those murderers, racist, bastards, rapist, lynchers, etc. With exactly what they diserve. Allah is All Knower and All Powerful.
And one more thing heathyaddict, even when Malcom X wasn't practicing the true islam, he never encourage violence, he alway talked about self defense against violence. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Malcolm X ridiculed the civil rights movement and specifically Martin Luther King, whom he called 'Martin Luther Coon'. Yet it was the peaceful movement led by King that won the civil rights victories, not the wackjob 'the white man was created by Yacub' nonsense promulgated by Malcolm for most of his life. The beautiful part of Malcolm's story is his ultimate move AWAY from hate, not his earlier embrace of it.
Lucretius666 You can't possibly teach me anything new about Malcolm that I don't already know, that #1, second I know that the beautiful part of his life was when he became a real muslim, but I completely desagree that it was only Martin Luther King Jr movement who won the civil right victory, that it is just BS! It was defenitly the efforts of all of them together, ....
Martin, along with Malcolm, the black panthers, etc. All of then defenitely contribute to the victories in the civil war. Third, even when Malcolm, was in the NOI, yes he might of said some thing that were offensive some what... But...
He defenitely spoke a lot of truth in a lot of issues concerning blacks. And Last, About the concept of the white devil... Eventhough i don't agree with it now, if I would have live back then, I would have said the exact same thing. I mean can you really blame them?? A lot of the white men back then, deserve every last insult they have got. And whoever doesn't understand the abuse that the had with black is just in denial. And so be it.!
Sure, Malcolm was always shrewd enough to mix just enough talk of self defence in his fiery rhetoric to avoid charges of inciting violence. However, if you read the teachings of the NOI at the time Malcolm became famous as it's spokesman, it's clear this that the ultimate violent destruction of the 'white devils' (ie. the white race) was (and remains) a core piece of NOI ideology.
@healthyaddict But he didn't advocate violence for the sake of violence. He said you should be peaceful, respectful, courteous to all races and religions BUT if someone attacks you or your family then you should strike back because you have every right to defend yourself. I don't think thats violent, in those times when the KKK was ruling you had to use force to defend yourself and your famillies. Also like UltraBlackkk said - after completing his hajj his principles changed a lot. Besides Islam
@healthyaddict is about intentions, and his internitons were always to liberate and attain equality for his people who had been supressed, used, and abused for decades.
@healthyaddict: I believe Malcom would also like for you to read.(they say if you wan to keep something from black ppl, put it in a book) Read about him. The Spike Lee film is good but I would read his autobiography he wrote w/ Alex Haley and there is a new book out. Came out this year by Manning Marable. It's called A life of reinvention:Malcolm X. Be warned though Im still currently reading this book and I feel very different about him. I still respect him but...
@healthyaddict I see what you mean in that it seems that he was encouraging black people to literally take up arms but I would defer and say that this was partially metaphoric because he never committed any violent act himself. I think that he was more so calling for an alternative solution or perspective to the stagnant approach of this fellow civil right activist Martin Luther King Jr. Malcolm wanted black ppl to reneg their submissive view of the struggle and have more dignity.

the uploader " 7thJewelProductions" and his " 2nd Interview with the Hon. Elijah Muhammad - part 1" youtube video has just blocked me.
the reason for that is because i was gradually exposing that video / " the black man has no beginning" ~ elijah mohammad BENT views.
i was also gradually slamming the book, message to the black man...
7thJewelProductions hid inside his closet by blocking me off...
*** i suggest to those with a sane mind to check out my SLAMMING of the NOI flaws...
