I worry that the climate change lobby is just another tool that the powers that be are using to control and manipulate. CO2 is rising - ok... But historical records seem to show that CO2 levels always rose *after* the global temp rose, suggesting CO2 levels are driven by temp, not the other way around (although that could also be true).

The problem is that we're ignoring all of the other crap that's being shoved into our air because we're being made to focus just on CO2...

@MudBarf Google 'CO2 lags temperature'. When the Earth comes out of an ice age, the warming is not initiated by CO2 but by changes in the Earth's orbit. The warming causes the oceans to give up CO2. The CO2 amplifies the warming and mixes through the atmosphere, spreading warming throughout the planet. So CO2 causes warming AND rising temperature causes CO2 rise.

@Arganoid It does seem to make sense from what I've read that CO2 would be *a* cause of global warming - I'm just worried that mercury, lead and other poisons are being overlooked as we (rightly so) try to deal with CO2.

The issue I have is that traditionally, the scientific community is easily distracted. Niels Bohr proved that when he bullied the world into believing that the copenhagen interpretation of quantum physics is fact, rather than a theory.

@MudBarf Reducing our usage of coal will reduce emissions of mercury, lead, etc as well as CO2. Regardless of climate change, sooner or later we will have to stop using fossil fuels as they will not last forever (oil production in particular could begin to decline soon). Safest option would be to move away from them and cut energy wastage sooner rather than later.

But I believe man made global warming is BOLLOCKS ... we dont release as much co2 into the air as we did in the 70's..sweden used to moan about british pollution killing off their trees..no one burns coal anymore..like they did upto the 70's..as nuclear power was more widely used..here in the uk we had what was called smogg.. in the 50's..where fog would mix with the smoke from everyone's coal fires.. in the 60's it was passed that smokless coal could only be burnt in towns and cities.

@redrik09 CO2 before industrial revolution was approx 280ppm, now 390 and still rising. If for some reason you don't trust European graphs, google US energy mix. Nuclear was about 9% in 2009, coal about 21%. (of all energy, not just electricity). Burning of coal is being done on a much bigger scale now than it was in the industrial revolution (globally, if not in the West). Burning wood is not too bad as long as the trees are replanted.

This morning I filmed jets laying all over cover ...full sky chemtrails above Cornwall in the UK.. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Actually we probably agree on some important points. Say you are someone who doesnt believe in human co2 causing global warming. Surely, even so, wouldnt you agree that all that fossil fuel being burnt does produce a lot of pollution which is not doing us or the planet any good? (google 'rising acidity in the ocean') And that fossil fuels , use of which is rising massively, must run out sooner or later? Conclusion is the same: we need new fuel sources.

The idea that man-made pollution is responsible for global warming is simply not supported by historical scientific fact. The period known as the Holocene Maximum was the hottest period in human history and occurred approximately 7500 to 4000 ago.

Good video, sexy graphics! Very to the point, I like that... but I have a theory, its not a theory I particually believe in, its just an idea. The idea is that, well people say the temp is going up because CO2 is going up, but what if CO2 is going up because temp is going up? The more you ponder over it, the more sense it makes, its a well known fact that theres ALOT of methane under ice, and global temp charts show temp increases like this every 100,00 years. see where i'm coming from? : )
