I think it's cool how they switch from 'bokura' to 'washira' throughout this version. Both terms mean the same thing, but have different context uses.
Suena mucho mejor asi! Y a mi que me dejo de gustar esta canción después de hacer la obra...me he vuelto a enamorar de ella! Increíblemente entendí lo que dijeron cuando sale Jack! jejeje amo a jack-san!
@chicapanzy you should see the translation of the french lyrics! they totally change the meaning of halloween town, calling it a town of crime and stuff.
@chicapanzy it is scarier ! at 0:35 in the english ver. they said ,,trick or treat tilll the NEIGHBOURS gonna die of fright!" in jappannese it's: ,,trick or treat till the day EVERYONE will die" Trick or treat minna(everyone) ga shinu((will) die) hi (day) made(until)
japanese stuff were always scarier then any other like thier scary movies.. i think its just cuz i dont understand wat they are saying without subtitles... this one sounds more intense
@peter828 That, and since the Japanese usually keep their feelings bottled up (due to culture), this is probably their way of letting it all out, so to speak.
i luv the japanese version! the witches have pretty voices in this one and the clown with the tear-away face sounds chipmunk lol and now i know a little japanese this version's a lot better.
one more thing, it would be cool if they did a japanese version of the marilyn manson remix of this song.
What I like about this song being in Japanese is that the older women's voices are able to make themselves sound weak and strained like a ghosts. Amazing. This is much more haunting then the English version in my opinion.
i freakin loved this me when i was little. not like everyone likes it now because it goes with the stupid rock style. i liked it before it became popular!
I watch The Nightmare Before Christmas officially two times a year, once at Halloween, and once at Christmas. Now I wanna watch it in Japanese! Is the full movie up on Youtube, or just the song parts?
That clown with the tear away face made me laugh my ass off! The way he said now I'm gone without a trace didn't even rhyme, I dunno it just sounded really fun to me. Great video.
I love this version! they managed to get it as closely translated as possible and even preserve the syllables to fit the melodies. Beautiful, just beautiful!
... Mais y'en a un qu'a pas la voix de sa tête ! XD 2:09

I think it sounds scarier 'cause it's in a different language.
I'm quite sure the Japanese think the English version is just as much scarier as we think theirs is.
