Someone once said something to me about voting. Voting on issues, not just people to represent you, means you are trying to make a change. If you don't say anything or try to do anything, how can you complain about whats happening? You didn't even try to stop it! Petition, say something! Do something. @quickcooper61 so I miss understood some of what you were trying to say. Just so many like my uncle, who judge and think they are better. Also so many try to live up to hollywoods image which is killing our society. Technology isn't helping much either. Hard to find people that have moral values and stand for something these days. I understand some people are better than others in thier own ways, no one is perfect and that's what makes the world work.

@garnnavy I agree with you. In my highschool, there's not a single person out of 20 or so nerds who care about politics. None of them knew what happens in factory farms. I sometimes think humanity is suffering from an atavism. Aren't we supposed to be intelligent? Why should a moderately intelligent person be considered above average? Why isn't average up to date, why haven't they read the Communist Party Manifesto and Animal Liberation? We're still animals.

@Evilsquirrelie I think until you are in a situation where you have been raped or abused and the baby is a consequence you didn't chose to make, who are you to decide abortion is right (using you as a general term, not you specifically). There are so many grey areas to this discussion. I'm pro abortion in the sense that if someone is abused they should have the right to choose if they feel a termination is the best choice for them. Abortion can be a choice, can be medical and be clinical.

I don't think being punk means you hate the system and the man and you have to be radical about all your decisions. Against Me! is a political band who used to be an anarchist band, but people change and maybe they decided that voting for a president you believe in is better that leaving the decisions up to republicans. The video itself brings up a lot of important issued and has a very liberal message, so maybe it's best that they bring those issues up and encourage people to vote democrat.

I mean everyone has radical ideas about what's "right" as a teenager, and I think they grew up and realized that anarchism isn't a viable form of government, well... for some obvious reasons.
