My goffin loves socks as well, he'll fetch them from a laundry basket whenever here's one there. I fell asleep once with him in my room (I was exhausted but took him out for some play time), and he had gone into my underwear drawer, taken any single socks he found out, and draped them over me. I guess he felt he was tucking me in, since I had a blanket partially on me too >.<.

My goffin is obsessed with socks as well. He loves to 'help' me do laundry by flapping his wings whenever I air something out quickly before folding, then goes and takes all the socks out of the basket and throws them around.

Sampson is cute. I think cockatoos in general loves to tear up papers. I usually tie some toilet paper on ther perch for Kalin to tear up for fun. It only takes her seconds....

Been considering a new pet, and the idea of having a parrot seems really appealing.

Kalin has pretty good temperament but she does scream for fun in the morning whenever the outside birds chirp in the morning.....like 6am!

Goffins cockatoos are very emotionally needy. Once they're bonded with you, they want to be with you 24/7. And if you don't spend enough time with them, they pluck. My husband and I have been busy with work and Kalin started plucking out of boredom. Most of her feather recently grew out but it took us many days and nights to get her back to normal.
