I started a new game, and right now I'm level 11 with ED-E and Veronica, in my opinion Veronica is amazing and I love how the NPCs always remark to ED-E as the flying eye machine or scientists stand in awe at it's enclave origins.

@MauIing you can have up to all 4 thus getting you the achievement the whole gangs here you hardly have to do anything if you have all four unless you decide to train on deathclaws with a varmint rifle

Actually if you do G.I. Blues mission and then get Rex as a companion and do his personal mission, then you can talk to the doctor in Jacobstown and do the Guess Who I Saw Today mission and you'll find the Oh, Baby! unique super sledge which is next to the Nightkin that will have the chewed up stealth boy that you need in Charleston Cave. Once you have the Oh, Baby! and preferably a companion or two, you can blow right through the Super Mutants and Nightkin on Black Mountain like they're nothing

I'd say Lily is overall more useful. She has the speed and bulk of a Super Mutant, meaning she'll take damage like a sponge and dish it out like a boss. The Stealth bonus is pretty cool if you're running a stealth character.

Veronica can dish out damage, but she is rather frail. However, this is with her basic gear. Pack on some power armor, and she's bulky enough. Give her a ballistic fist, and her damage output is ridiculous, so it's pretty much personal choice.

lily's quest is activated during the gameplay, just talk to her every now and again and there will be stuff about her meds. but in the end you decide whether she should always take her meds, every other time, or never. if you choose never, she gets super strong when she has half hp but wont take any orders.

if u have trouble with radiation i suggest you get the rad child and rad absorbtion perks because they really help (rad child actually heals you if you have radiation poisoning and rad absorbtion will slowly make you lose rads over time) ps they r nightstalkers i never had to battle em (animal friend perk ftw!)

Lily's story is to talk to Jacob the chef of Jacobtown and he ask you to hunt the hidden animal in the cave north to jacobtown. Than you'll have to bring

the chewed stealth boy to jacob so he can test it on lily and after that,

talk to grandma Lily to go with you. Hope this help.

OH AND ALSO.

In the cave where lily will hunt the animal and get the chewed stealth boy,

you will find the Oh Baby! the best sledge hammer.

@MrFabulousb depends on guns skill or whatever type of combat but still take alot of stims just in case and if your gun skill is high and you can get the brush gun ( i used the brush gun with 100 gun skill it 2 shots nightkin and super mutents but ir your mele, enery or unarmed i can't realy help

@MrFabulousb You can also cut through behind black mountain through hidden valley and either open the gate to go straight to the top (need high lockpick) or follow the road that will be near the gate that takes you to the top (you will know the spot because there will be a mutant standing there that will give you a quest to get rid of that radio host) But point is that it is easier to go through hidden valley then north to black mountain if you cant kill deathclaws.

to unlock boones quest you have to do a bunch of things to unlock his" history points" adn you can do that by killing Ceaser with him and you get 2 for that and if you go to nelson and realease the NCR guys tied to the stakes you get 2 and when youre at camp mccarran if you kill the lehion guy that they have prisoner you get 1 for that

@THEIAN11 is that unarmed techniques? I've found two so far, one from Ranger Andy in Novac, you have to check out a ranger base down the road for him (dont worry, theres no fighting involved)

the other was from the great khans, from either saving one of them from the legion at cottonwood cove or organising a chem trade deal.

Ranger Andy's knocks enemies to the ground, and helps to cripple limbs.

The Great Khan technique throws dirt in their faces and distracts them, though i havent used it yet.

@LORDxSILENT You can get 4 followers at a time at the most. You can have ED-E or Rex, then you can get a human follow eg Boone or Cass or whoever, then if you get your reputation to liked with the NCR you can call for a trooper or ranger to help you and if they die wait a day and then call for another. Finally you can get a 4th follower but this last follower is only available when your in freeside, you have to buy a bodyguard for 100 caps, making it your 4th follower =) Hope that helped!
