Its a fatherly instinct. Think of it this way. Layton is kind of like a father to Luke. He protects Luke and mentors Luke. So it was pure instinct and the fact that it would be in Layton's character to probably protect anyone who would be in that situation. If anyone else had been running with Layton the same thing would have happened. ^__^

Cool, I'm assuming that this is the US version? The UK version has a different voice actor for Luke. Some puzzle names have changed too, like 'Parking Lot Gridlock' is known as 'Car Park Gridlock' over here. It's details like this that make the game even more enjoyable. It's a shame you can't watch the replays with the music that went with them...

Although I thought Don Paolo was pretty cheesy, that was a good game. Actually, it was an excellent game. It has puzzles my mom-- fellow gamer and supergenius-- couldn't solve. Namely, 33333. XD

You know, neither Luke nor Layton acknowledged that Layton had saved his life. I wonder if it's because it all happened so fast neither of them knew what the heck was happening 'til it was over.

Actually, they are making two in Japan- one is live action, and one is anime like this. However, they did say at least one of the movies wouldn't follow the game's plots, so the scenes parts may not be as easy as it seems. They can whip them up pretty quick though, there are two other games out now in Japan.
