I adopted 2 stray cats, one about 6 years ago the other three years ago. I was not a cat lover at that time, but love and affection i have gotten over the years has been fantastic. I went to Hawaii once, but the big Island, someone bought me a ticket, to trap cats at Hapuna Beach, but they'd already been trapped and fixed, and I had the grandest time, hiking around, sleeping on the beach, netted a kitten or two there, and never wanted to come back here.
@Catweedhigh Not anymore... I'm now up in Northern California. Maui has a lot of feral cats. And yes, it's beautiful there in Hawaii. I want to say I think it's awesome what you do for the cats! I love animals myself. If I could I would rescue and help them all. I've had many birds come my way. I have 2 cockatiels now (uncaged). I'd love to keep in touch with you. @xtymiller I know Hawaii has a huge problem. The Neuterscooter vet goes there, every now and then, and holds clinics and fixes everything she can. I think if she had funding to fix everything she had brought in to clinics, and I went to trap everything I could, which would be a lot of cats, we'd stop that problem. Money, always money.
Watching it again, it seems to me very clear that your little Micky knew that you had saved him. It's as if he couldn't say enough "thank you" to you.
@Snookimichev I think he did know. He suffered so, living in that old car. I'd been out there quite a lot already, trapping in all, about 70 cats to be fixed. HOrrible situation. Many of the fixed ones were killed later by a roaming vicious dog, 17 in all killed by that dog. Police would do nothing. Horrible place. Mickey was saved from it and now resides with a former clown currently a teacher in Canada.
i have a (rescue) cat her name is wynnie, she's a domestic all white with blue eye's, she was abandon by her owner's at an apartment complex in a very bad part of the town with her 3 kitten's living off scrap's that people would give them in the hallway, her kitten's were adopted, and wynnie (my little girl) came home with deb and myself. it's almost 3 year's . we walk her outside every day and respond's to time to go home (inside) and love's a nice drive in the car
Mickey was adopted by a woman who lives just across the border in Canada. So I don't have him here anymore, to take new videos. I do have photos she has sent of him since she adopted him. She's posted comments below this video somewhere.

I found my poor kitty-after his right eye had already been removed-and he desperately needed love, and a few pounds too. This reminds me of how much i wanted to give him what he needed-and how close he's become to me after being afraid of everything in general-thanks for giving us something so nice to watch:)

This is a true act of love. "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." This cat will live becasue it is loved. Wounds this cat has sutained will heal through you. I too rescued a kitten and she is wonderful. My love and compassion for her made her well. she is now 6 years old and loves my bed and new baby.

I keep thinking, with all the violence of our world, the glorification of violence and dishonesty, what could be more true an antithesis to such selfiishness and violence more so than helping out a desperate stray, without hope. Such acts are opposite to today's values, even the so called Christian values. I have no choice in what I do. I try to quit, but something higher wants me to continue.
Mickey's mom here - He's doing wonderful and is such a joy. Still has his amazing purr!!! I will post a vid soon. You do amazing work and make a difference. Your empathy towards the cats also carries over to people you have helped. Ignore the haters and rise above them as they obviously don't understand compassion in all forms.
Word, obviously you're just fucking with people. Sell your video games, guns, cars, your excess and go feed the poor yourself. All you want to do is be mean. I don't why, it's such a waste of life.
We have idiots spending money buying guns and excess cars and massive TVs, sitting on their couches all day watching them, and useless computer stuff and video games, that rot kids brains into useless uninteresting mush, all sorts of things. You could always move to someone angry enough to suit you. Afghanistan maybe, um, oh, one of those warring starving African nations, or, I bet you'd prefer a completely vacant island.
That's different. Those are luxuries. Spending millions of dollars on fucking shit useless animals when you can feed these useless animals to the poor doesn't make any sense. Why bother saving these fucking animals... like that dumb cat.. when you can cook it and feed it to the poor? The numbers of starving children would decline rapidly.. but noooo.. we have to save a fucking cat.. spend money on it.. and then the only thing a cat does is lay on it's ass and do shit..
ACtually word, that's all most humans do, lay on their asses and do nothing. I don't know what you do. My guess will be not much except put down everybody else on earth. Go feed the poor. i have a (rescue) cat her name is wynnie, she's a domestic all white with blue eye's, she was abandon by her owner's at an apartment complex in a very bad part of the town with her 3 kitten's living off scrap's that people would give them in the hallway, her kitten's were adopted, and wynnie (my little girl) came home with deb and myself. it's almost 3 year's . we walk her outside every day and respond's to time to go home (inside) and love's a nice drive in the car

Mickey was adopted by a woman who lives just across the border in Canada. So I don't have him here anymore, to take new videos. I do have photos she has sent of him since she adopted him. She's posted comments below this video somewhere.

I found my poor kitty-after his right eye had already been removed-and he desperately needed love, and a few pounds too. This reminds me of how much i wanted to give him what he needed-and how close he's become to me after being afraid of everything in general-thanks for giving us something so nice to watch:)

This is a true act of love. "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." This cat will live becasue it is loved. Wounds this cat has sutained will heal through you. I too rescued a kitten and she is wonderful. My love and compassion for her made her well. she is now 6 years old and loves my bed and new baby.

Thank you whitesongs. Sounds like a cat in desperate need also found you. I keep thinking, with all the violence of our world, the glorification of violence and dishonesty, what could be more true an antithesis to such selfiishness and violence more so than helping out a desperate stray, without hope. Such acts are opposite to today's values, even the so called Christian values. I have no choice in what I do. I try to quit, but something higher wants me to continue.

Mickey's mom here - He's doing wonderful and is such a joy. Still has his amazing purr!!! I will post a vid soon. You do amazing work and make a difference. Your empathy towards the cats also carries over to people you have helped. Ignore the haters and rise above them as they obviously don't understand compassion in all forms.

We have idiots spending money buying guns and excess cars and massive TVs, sitting on their couches all day watching them, and useless computer stuff and video games, that rot kids brains into useless uninteresting mush, all sorts of things. You could always move to someone angry enough to suit you. Afghanistan maybe, um, oh, one of those warring starving African nations, or, I bet you'd prefer a completely vacant island.

That's different. Those are luxuries. Spending millions of dollars on fucking shit useless animals when you can feed these useless animals to the poor doesn't make any sense. Why bother saving these fucking animals... like that dumb cat.. when you can cook it and feed it to the poor? The numbers of starving children would decline rapidly.. but noooo.. we have to save a fucking cat.. spend money on it.. and then the only thing a cat does is lay on it's ass and do shit..

ACtually word, that's all most humans do, lay on their asses and do nothing. I don't know what you do. My guess will be not much except put down everybody else on earth. Go feed the poor. Here's a solution for the word: neuter everybody. Overpopulation, human, is the root of all problems. I am not blocking you, because you're too judgemental and angry for me.

You're so kind!! Aww..that purring reminds me of a stray cat we used to feed. He was timid at first, but a few months later started to jump into our laps & purr. He died 2 years ago :(

He's so beautiful, he looks like my cat Nunu who passed away at the age of 16/17. Gosh listen to that loud puurrrr! I'm so grateful he found a home I Just read about that in the comments :). You're such a sweetheart Jody for doing what you do.

Thank you for sharing this video. People who make the effort to net or trap feral or abandoned kitties, take them to the vet, take them into a home or help them find one--are just amazing in my eyes. One person CAN make all the difference & you've changed the life of this amazing kitty who had so much love saved up to give. Glad he has a home & is happy. Thank you for this kindness.

Paula, thank you. Mickey is a wonderful cat and worth every effort made on his behalf. They suffer so, out there, and we as humans say to ourselves "they're just animals". Yet each has a love of their life, fears, sorrows, desires, needs, as we do. We too afterall are just animals.
