  • arron aint the shiiiit! back in the 80's when sensei akira was senpai akira, kevin, modesto, raymond, linda, and shalene, they were da shiiiit! they brought back jikc to enter competition against other schools!

  • @ ScottyHonolulu Yeah, Aaron Oandasan was one of our US team members. He recenty opened his own dojo in Aiea. JIKC influenced my life tremendously and I'll always represent it. It's great to hear from a fellow karate ka and black belt. Osu!

  • @AOMEDIAPRO1 Oh really? Thats awesome! Congrats to him! Yeah I've been wanting to start again, but just can't find the time. Probably have to start from the beginning.

  • Shiieetttt, i remember doing Bo and Sai too. Arron Awanda-san anybody? If anyone remembers that name, he was THE SHIT back then!!!

  • My original dojo was in kahala with Sensei George. Then to hawaii kai with Sensei Rusty. OSU everybody.

  • Okay. its been about over ten years since i've stepped into a JIKC dojo. Originally, the main dojo for Honolulu i'll say was near Blaisdell. I remember taking my Nidan test over there. It lasted, if my memory serves my right, an hour and a half. It got really exciting because i got to spar with a black belt who was the best i think from pearl city side at the time. it took 11 patches to be able to go for your Nidan. im sure the rules have changed. All i can say is i miss it A LOT!

  • Great spirit!!! Osu
