I remembered watching the Miss Universe '99 where Ms. Miriam quiambao (Miss Philippines) was called. I was very surprised. I hoped for it, yet in the back of my mind, I thought maybe we're not gonna get in the top 10, so I really shocked when she did.

OK OK... To all those supporting Miss Philippines, some newsflash: I received this one in my email a few nights ago. A lot of pageant analysts believe that there was something fishy that went on. Philippines, Greece, and China were the main contentions, alongside with Norway and Singapore. t was reported that in the prejudging Miss Philippines TOPPED the evening gown comp, and placed THIRD in the Interview. China and Greece made the top 15 also in both events.
