I've learnt more about dolphins from Stephen Fry than I have from anyone else, namely the fact that they left the earth of their own means after trying to warn humans.
Man had always assumed that he was more intellegent than the dolphin because he had done so much, wars, the wheel and so forth, whilst all the dolphins had done was muck about having a good time. Dolphins had always assumed they were smarter for exactly the same reason.
Love this show, the guests they pick are always top class and they look like they are genuinely having a laugh. Phil Jupiter was awesome and Ronni Ancona is so sexy! I loved her description of the Bubis, had me in stitches. I'd love to give her one, I really, really would. An intellectual MILF with a smashing pair of tits & a great sense of humour, what more can you ask for?
@dupledge I don't wish to start an argument but I do think your comment unnecessary. As someone with great fondness for Fry, especially amidst a dumbed down TV schedule, I cannot agree with you. If a well published Cambridge graduate that hosts a show about everything quite interesting is to you uneducated and banal then I fear the problem may be with your malcontent regard and not Mr.Fry. Because if it's one thing that doesn't live up to moral precepts, it's not one person, but religion itself.
@artisticcompany I totally agree. Being a life long fan of Mr. Fry, and the highlight og my life being once getting a letter from him, I cannot stand anyone sissing him. He may not be perfect, but who is? But he is one of the most decent, upstanding, honest, pure human beings. I know he has a lot of flaws, but his flaws are my flaws and I've seen a lot worse. :-)
Why do the Scots hate the English? Irish people don't hate the English and we've been so brutal to them right up until the 1970s-well, I say "we've" but what I mean is the aristocratic toffs in London. The Scots are actually favoured nowadays. England doesn't have a parliament (thats the UK parliament in London) and Scots get free university education, free prescriptions and lots more of the taxpayers money than England. Scots should stop being ungrateful lol
irish brn aussie and with those that want to say cath v prod your fucking idiots.. it has always been about land untill 19701s when the irs got involved.. but hey the 1st pesident of usa was classed as terrorist by the english . seems every1 that rebels the brittish or usa rule are instantly terrorists and under law can be killed on sight.. that cant be coincidence
@jusfuknwidya Strange, I never believed the English had accused Canadians and Australians of terrorism when they seperated, if that's what you mean by rebel.
If you mean by rebel a militaristic seperation, in some way violent, then I think that can actually be defined as terrorism, if you're killing citizens in a country.
@gloomyoutlook I've noticed in the later series that If you watch the XL episodes, then the scoring will make sense, but the scores won't make sense in the shortened episoded. Maybe these episodes cut out some questions where the panel earned/lost points?
@JstnTime995 gloomyoutlook is right, but also bear in mind they record far more fooage and questions for each episodes, and the points are based on everything, not just on what makes the final edit.
Rich Hall makes it a long way by saying nothing that isn't funny and completely random or that he's absolutely certain is correct and little known.
I think the scoring seems even more random because they film way more than they show. My brother's been to a few recordings, and apparently filming can be two hours plus of material. I quite like it being silly who wins, though; it's more of an interesting discussion with running forfeits than a quiz where scores are remembered... for me anyway. :)
@JstnTime995 If you browse around you can find outtakes and extra-long episodes which make it clear that what we're seeing on the half-hour broadcast show is not the entire taping. I believe they deliberate keep the scoring vague so they can edit the show to length without reconciling the scores.
@JstnTime995 At least half the programme is cut to make it fit into the half an hour slot, so Stephen probably sums up for the entire show rather than the half an hour included in TV.
"religion, shit it!" <3 Stephen Fry..... thx for uploading, we haven't got this series in Australia yet, they just sort of started with series F lol, missed everything else! :)
So what if the sound was a bit out. Thank you :)

The one thing I hate about this amazing show...
The viewers thinking they are somehow more intelligent when making annoying comments on youtube armed with wikipedia and an online thesaurus....

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Just because Stephen Fry cannot live up to the moral precepts of religion we get the uneducated response from this banal man.

@gloomyoutlook Not sure about australia, but the reason the US hasn't got it is because Americans are morons.

also they cut bits out the show to make it fit its time spot and thus points couldbe lost or won in that bit.

Being a septic, I don't quite know what the english mean when they say "floater" is. Is it a sh*t?

it is indeed, thus why the (then deputy) prime minister is refered to as one
