Yes, there're lots of styles but the main point of them all them is to fight, not to look good & not for competition. Real kungfu is to kick ass; philosophy & health benefits come second. They are both components of Chinese kungfu. Kungfu can also for non-fighting purposes such as building a sound body and strengthing a sound spirit. The philosophy of Kungfu is not to fight but to be magnanimous and understanding. It is not simply related to violence

This is a real army, I bet it can fight!" Don't confuse one for the other. A beautiful knife that can't cut is just a sculpture, not a real knife. Wushu is kungfu without its edge. Its moves are so exaggerated for show, it is like a comic book fantasy sword. Impresses kids but impractical. I don't know how else to explain to you.

no, title is misleading, on the other hand, I've done actual kung fu and am learning wushu now, you still condition and develope faster reflexes and stuff w/ wushu, just don't count on it too much, everyone who does wushu knows it's performance based, not practice based...
