  • In my opinion Casino Royale goes back to the Dalton era.

  • HOW has that video response only 600 views? ..it was actually pretty good, im gonna do this scene now

  • If you take a life, do you know what you'll get? Odds are you wont like what it is.

When the storm arrives, would you be seen with me, by the merciless eyes of deceit?

I've seen angels fall from blindin' heights. But you yourself are nothing so divine.

    You're just next in line.

This is by far the best Bond-intro. Hands down...

  • When I first saw this film, I was curious why they didn't start right away with the gun barrel shot like in the other films.

And, then, this came out of nowhere. It nearly took my breath away. Probably one of my favorite Bond openings.

And, it makes sense why they didn't have the gun barrel sequence at the start, like in the other films; he wasn't a 00 yet. By him killing those two, it's like it helped him earn that sequence. I love it.

Things like this are why I enjoy going to the movies.

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollll!!!!

  • You know his name

    Cr...I mean Bond, James Bond

  • me too:D

  • cant wait for bond 23

  • easy money

    wp3.pl/prostyzarobek/

  • even when he's made of cards he is still a boss

  • This song is amazing!! what a great opening to a great film :)

  • いいねw

thats all you need to doeasy right?

  • @yesterdaymapm Thank You :)

  • As an operator Bond was always a killer (the movies got away from this for a very long time) sand-baggers as they were called had a very short life span involvement in any form usually spelled a even shorter one

  • AAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG - TTTTHHHUUUUMMMBBBSSS UUUUUPPPPPP

  • @TEWsean nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • 23 peoples dont know his name.

  • Bond was a suave killer. The early Bonds concentrated more on the suave and less on the killer. As we moved forward he became more killer than suave. Connery the first Bond was the epitome of suave, Craig the latest is the epitome of killer.

I've been around to see them all, but I prefer the modern Bond. More realistic. Who would you rather have save the world?

  • @Dragosani44 I like both the old and new ones the old ones because they were like watching the comedies mainly rodger moore and connery movies were like that and you knew they were finding it funny doing the acting Timothy Dalton is more serious and I don't know how to describe Pierce or that George guy

  • where are the ladies?!

  • Best Opening Credits?

  • Bad. Ass.

  • Don't you hate it when you watching a Bond movie with your girlfriend and the gun barrel sequence starts and she says "Its over all ready? that was gay!" sometimes...

  • why does he only kill black people?

  • @peter5448

You mean like the UNARMED WHITE GUY Bond kills about 5 seconds before this clip begins?

  • @dwgryph yeah, but he was a real life person. doesn't count.

  • im watching this on dvd, and then, this intro starts, i shit brix.

  • I guess he was right.Daniel Craig becomes a ninja on 3:14.

  • Best Bond film I ever watched. The plotline was the biggest star. Sticking fairly closely to the original novel was the key. Not many Bond films do that. There was for instance a big car crash in the novel too. Although Bond's steed of choice was a "Blower Bentley" 1930's race car. Not an Aston Martin. The novel itself being set not long after WWII.

Best bit for me apart from nearly all the action scenes was Vesper's first meeting with Bond on the train. Exquisite scripting and acting.

  • @molfluon

    Completely agree.

I think they thought they were about to give James Bond a last hurrah.

Everything about it is bravely against what's expected for an action movie - and even a James Bond movie.

They ended up creating the best of them all.

  • I remember the gunbarrel scene at Theater... peoples litterally Ovationned it... Best Gunbarrel of the entire serie.

  • @TheLostProphecies

I was visiting America for the first time when this movie came out.

After an outrageously large meal - I suggested we go and cross the car park to watch James Bond in the cinema. (Haha - they drove their car across the car park to get there - lol)

The US audience was lapping it up - one guy was too excited and kept blathering through the movie. During the violent stairwell scene, another guy threatened to kill him if he didn't shut up!

The final theme got a clap!

  • Chris Cornell brings a nice touch to the opening

  • Quantum of Solace was so-so, IMO. They did the Bourne-style cinematography, which doesn't go well with a Bond film. With MGM coming out of bankruptcy soon, and assuming Daniel Craig comes back (I sure hope so!), they will get the series back on track.

  • quantum of solace did suck. I agree. Casino Royale was awesome, though. Best Bond flick since Goldeneye. This was my favorite opening Bond song too, followed by the Goldeneye opening :P

  • daniel craig is shit.. quantum of solace fuckin sucked

  • @jakeo96 I never understood why people look for a video of something just to say it sucks.

    Are you that bored?

  • i came to this video after watchin goldeneye

  • the next opening should be done by who ever did the story book sequence in Deathly Hallows. Thumbs up if you agree.

  • There will be no other Bond like this one, this from stone- Tuff Stone

  • @24Superguy

    I agree with you.

This brilliant film goes against all the conventions of action cinema. It's unique.

  • Why are there no dancing women in the new ones?

  • @944911928 Because it doesn't need it. The over-use of sexualization in previous openings was, in my opinion, completely unnecessary.

This video has everything worthy of Bond: James being a bad-ass, and music which fits seamlessly with the character and themes...all stylized with a game-like feel, matching the associations created with the title and certain key plot-points. Casino Royale isn't about dancing women, and the inclusion of such in the opening would have soiled the presentation.

  • @linkblade91 The other ones had the women in it no one complained

  • @944911928 I didn't appreciate it, but that's just one man's opinion.

  • @944911928 Because Americans have become prude.

  • @944911928 And because Casino Royale is partly Bond's love story, and the women wouldn't really fit that.

  • The best Bond song and intro, by far!

  • out of every film ever made this is most likely the most matching opening. I just cant believe how much it matches the movie.

  • casino royale was my favorite..

  • best bond movie it shows the real bond .... as a real human not as a super hero ?!

  • @ahmedjo11 The irony is that the next Bond was a disaster. Too many special effects and unreal situations. I was so disappointed after CR. But it still made moolah. The Bond franchise is in jeopardy at the moment I hear.

  • @Tabish29 Not so unreal situations, DaD was worse. But the Bourne-like filming was annoying and the villain was quite weak compared to LeChiffre. There weren't so much special effects, I mean CGI ones, it never went overdone like DaD.

The script was never as brilliant as CR nonetheless, the CR bar is currently too high to be equaled. Daniel Craig still kicks ass.

  • @ahmedjo11 A real human would have had his knees broken by a jump from a crane to a concrete roof 15 or 20 meters below (the free-running chase at the beginning). How could a real human be alive and conscious after a heart attack, the world record for a rollover car crash, and one of the worst kinds of torture for a man in the same night?

  • @deusirae76 Its Bond that's why

  • @deusirae76 James Bond

  • @deusirae76

The "roof" was made of sand. If he falls right (which he did) then it's possible if he's tough enough. (SAS trained - yes, he's tough enough)

  • 3:15 NINJA BOND!!!

  • boar noch schlechtere qualität geht ja nicht

  • this guy ruined james bond, my opinion.

  • @rsbow1 Roger Moore ruined Bond. He played the bond that was a pussy and cracked bad jokes all the time. At least Daniel Craig could be a badass like Bond is supposed to be. Sean Connery: the Ladies man bond. George Lazenby: The unknown bond. Roger Moore: The one-liner Bond. Timothy Dalton: The Vengeful Bond Pierce Brosnan: The gadget/ ladies-man-action medium. Daniel Craig: The badass.

  • @UltimteLifeForm Highly agree with yur comments. Although I rate Lazenby and Craig both as 2nd in my list after Sean. Dalton is 3rd because I thought he was no nonsense serious and badass too. Just like Fleming's Bond.

  • Funny I didn't see this in theatres because I thought it would suck, and now it's my favorite Bond movie.

  • its cool but not as cool as the others- this one entertains you , but the others made you think really hard in a way that made you go like ' wtf does this mean!!!, please give me the answer!!'

  • 3:15. Bond The Ninja!

  • カッコええな~

  • One of the best damned Bond intros EVER. Wait, make that part of the definitively best Bond film I have ever watched.

  • I just LOVEEEEEEE this movie plus the song SOOOOO MUCHHH

  • Best intro of a Bond movie ever

  • Great quality thank you

  • The best 007 opening titles ever. I remember seeing this for the first time at the cinema. Fucking fantastic

  • one of the best themes and opening sequences for this franchise in a LONG time. Cheers!

  • Where are the naked girls???!!!! Blasphemy!

  • nice

  • Fucking fantastic opening titles. Totally brilliant

  • I hate this guy so much ¬.¬

  • Noes it's not working anymore! D=

  • Man, this is so badassly the best bond song ever.

    Video's pretty awesome too ^^,

Gotta say I love Craig as Bond, he's so bad ass!! =3

  • 3:15 Ninja Bond!

  • @Dingodile616

More like the Red Spy, dude! =D

  • 0:03 - 0:18 is epic awesome

  • classic bond goes to connery obviously....most badass bond easily goes to craig...but for some reason when someone says james bond pierce brosnan pops into my head....probably cause i played so much goldeneye on the n64 haha

  • Brosnan's Bond was the closest in appearance.

Connery's Bond started the sexy ladiesman concept.

Craig's Bond was closest in personality.

  • @silverhawkroman i don't know, timothy dalton looked the way ian flemming described him in the books. but i like daniel craig though. his bond was more physical, like connery's were. less toys.

  • @tranurse Do not try to compare Daniel Craig with Sean Connery.

  • @Zgmflegend oh, sean's the best, no doubt about it. i just like how craig's bond is a heartless bastard. and i like the physicality of it too.

  • @tranurse Ironically Craig is popular for the same reason Dalton was unpopular.

  • @retardednazi Which is...?

  • @BassJunkeyz Being very realistic. Compare to the invisible car in Die Another Day.

  • If Bond can be a cold blooded assasin, but a hero, someone should parody it by making a suicide bomber a hero, playing this music you hear.

  • Or someone could do a good idea. Either one.

  • all james bond related introductions have the coolest effects.

    everything just mashes, and moulds...

    it's perfect.

  • Awesome movie. I love Craig as Bond

  • Connery defined the role...Craig perfected it! Let's not forget that this movie is actually the first Bond story in the original series.

  • I think Mads Mikkelsen did a great job being the bad boy too..

But yes ur right, Daniel Craig is the best :b

  • 1:05 i can beat up my friends now lol

  • I wish Ian Fleming was around to see this movie. He'd be so proud.

  • @ClevelandRock yep his first book in the james bond seris and the best book he wrote into one of the 3 best bond movies yet

  • Totally agree.

    LONG LIVE DANIEL CRAIG!!!

    Best Bond ever!!!

  • @ClevelandRock

I'm sure he would. They did a great job sticking to the story despite being in a completely different era.

  • @ClevelandRock This movie EMBODIES bond. Suave but tough as fuck. He's a killer, not a pretty boy. You are completely right that he would be proud.

  • @TranceSFX It is stupid when people complain about Craig's version being less the gentleman spy. He is suave, but the character is a new agent who's been a loner his whole life, and whose sole interest lies in self-perfection. Vesper is the first person he opens himself to since the early death of his parents. Upon losing her his only interest is revenge. It is not until later that he understands the need to become 007 as portrayed by Sean Connery. Craig is the perfect beginning to the series.

  • @ArThorAlfathir Absolutely could not agree more. Craig epitomizes the early Bond, and like a rough diamond later gets polished into the Connery era. I hold Craig in high regard though on the all time list.

  • @TranceSFX i completely agree that's why i could never really like Pierce Brosnan. too much of a pretty boy. And when he would get tough, he always had some quip or catch phrase to put in after killing someone or doing something cool. I just couldn't take him seriously.

  • @ClevelandRock I agree but I think they could have incorperated a little bit more of that classic "bond humor" into Craig. But still, My favorite Bond Movie.

  • this is prolly my favorite intro out of all the bond movies

  • this is a different verson of the song

  • Right at the end when it shows Daniel Craig's face, people in the theatre were cheering.

  • @eugene680 That happened at my theatre too when I first saw it on the release date. =D

  • @eugene680 Yep Like they were scearming mad loud but i was too

  • Before Craig's Bond, the franchise was slowly dieing..Sure it was making more money, but the response was usually mixed at best. They needed a guy like Craig. Craig's Bond isen't a superhero like most of the others. He fucks up, he makes big mistakes..i.e. He's human. You actully connect with him and give a shit about what happens to him which is something I for one never had with the character. Badass yet very human....I hope Craig plays Bond for years to come....

  • yea I think they did it to make it a bit like Bourne, like make him more centred around revenge and more action sequences.

  • Yah I agree. And thats a bit of a paradox as well cuz...Doing that got Bond out of the staleness it has been in for quite away before that breathing new life into the franchise, so it did alot of good. At the same time, I do hope the makers rememeber that it is still a BOND film and not the british version of Jason Bourne. But ya, I like Bond more as a lethal agent rather then a pretty boy action hero.

  • Actually they made it pretty close to the book, which I don't need to say came out a long time before Bourne.

  • @ryano2099

Also. Name any other Bond film where Bond is tied to a chair naked and gets his balls bashed in!

This guy undergoes SERIOUS hurt in the movie, and still manages to crack a joke at his torturer's expense. "now .. the whole world's ... going to know .. you died ... scratching my balls"

Haha - what a performance! Craig wins as best Bond (and I've seen them all).

  • @ryano2099 No kidding. He's the best Bond since Connery, and I hope he'll stay around for as least as many films as Connery did. He's already supposed to be up for a third as I understand it. This movie was honestly amazing...

  • @Cool70sfreak

I think he's filming right now.

He was brilliant in the first one.

He single-handedly saved the second one, with just a few lines.

He's a superb actor who gives everything.

  • @ryano2099 I...never thought about it like that...I suppose that makes sense :]

  • @ryano2099 One reason for that is that he is playing an early on Bond too, when he first became 007. Of course he is going to make mistakes.

But I have to say he plays a good bond though, however it is not the best IMO.

  • Sean Connery Number 1!! But daniel craig is da shit. this genre needed a hero like him. a fucking badass. who hits our time. He is doing a great job. people who want to see a sean connery remake bon should build a time machine and go back to the 80's. Daniel Craig is the best bond for our century so get used to it

  • I do love how the movie made Bond seemed very...mortal. The Pierce ones made him to 'Action Man' like.

  • This is on SyFy as I type this. At least PST.

  • Daniel Craig sure shut the critics up...Daniel Craig come second of all the Bonds that came before him, Mr. Connery is and always will be Number One. This film is more close to how Bond was written by Flemming than any others, awesome addition to the Bond franchise.

  • In my opinion, this was definitely one of the better films.

  • wonderful intro

  • this movie is awsome

  • I loved this version of the song...

  • personally I think bond became popular by being a "wisecracking ladies man" and not by being a bit of a bastard which is just how I see daniel craigs bond.

  • but this is how bond really is. not like pierce brosnan.

  • I didnt like peirce brosnan though I like sean connery and roger moore, and not coz im old im only 18

  • Im only 16 and i love the classic bond films. As with any other old film. A good movie is a good movie.

  • I agree wholeheartedly

  • Definitely best Bond opening

  • Daniel Craig's James Bond reminds me of Sean Connery's James Bond. Both were fairly accurate portrayals of Ian Fleming's James Bond and both versions were incredibly bad ass.

Moore and Brosnan's depictions were silly and cartoony. Dalton's Bond was good but he only left after two movies (too bad).

  • Best bond opening methinks

  • Well, we kind of ran out of gadgets.

People kind of expect everything nowadays, we became too advanced for the concept.

  • James Bond is so cool, he doesn't need gadgets.

  • The real Bond is a Bond without the silly gadgets. Ian Flemings books are very dark in comparison to all but the two most recent movies.

  • Don't forget Licence To Kill. That's probably the only other entry where he's not a wisecracking ladies man.

  • i know, i think casino royale is the closest to the novel, the others were to....idk how to say it but pop...although it's not like i didn't like them

  • This is a great intro, but it's a complete sausagefest! Where are the women? :P

  • @MisterSnig They couldn't put any woman in the intro because no one could be as beautiful as Eva Green !

  • @MisterSnig Bond hasn't become a killer sex machine yet. Just a killer. Just wait, Craig will go sex machine eventually.

  • @NeuroPanopticon Ah, good point.

  • @MisterSnig I wish there were some chicks but for once, who the fuck cares? The media is so saturated with half naked chicks it's getting cliche. This movie's goal is all about showing brutal intensity and badassery.

  • I like the way the films with Daniel Craig in feel more like reality than the other bond films, as he doesn't use all the flashy futuristic gadgets, everything doesn't always go his way and he doesn't always get the girl.

Oh and did i mention that he is badass as f**k ? ;)

  • The only gadgets Bond should need are his brain, his fists and his pistol. ;)

  • Awesome romantic in Bond's way

  • reminds me of rub rub game for the ds

  • casino royale is way better then quantan of solance

  • It's 100% better. And coherent to say the least. Seriously, I couldn't tell what was going on half the time during the action sequences, even though the chase on the rooftops in Italy was badass.

  • 2:42 on is just bloody perfect. Especially with Bond walking through spontaneously exploding decks of cards.

  • I dont think thats exploding cards it loos like money to me. maybe its just me

  • No, its not just you. I believe those are Euros bursting out

  • No, £10 notes i think

  • It seems to me that those are Pounds, you can see the portrait of the Queen

  • Danial Craig and Sean Connery are my favorite. and a great song too!

  • great bond movie

  • this is hands down perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I know what you mean, but I think it follows the novel better in terms of Craig's characteristics in role.

  • its based off a book you know...

  • This was a great song. Too bad Chris Cornell turned to the dark side of pop.
