yes there is an achievement in which in the last level i.e razing the shire you must kill 300 hundred hobbits in one playthrough. to get this you basically have to stay at the start of the level and kill any hobbits which come to you. however this is time consuming

There are two different campaigns in the game, one follows the actual story, where the ring is destroyed, and the other follows a story where Sauron and Mordor win against the fellowship, so yes, you do get to play as them.

Well I played it on a stock 2.2GHz clock, before I overclocked to 3.3GHz. It ran fine for me, so unless it's a horrible model, you should get by, this game isn't exactly resource intensive.

I use a trainer. It's a program that can directly modify certain game values while your playing to give you unlimited heath, special points, lives, etc.

I used a trainer. The game just wasn't fun for me otherwise. I started that level without the trainer going and got killed straight away by the Ent smashing the ground about 15 meters away from me, then I got killed 5 times in a row by Eagles.
