This theme is interesting. It has an atmospheric, dark feeling to it. Imagine walking down a long, dimly-lit claustrophobic corridor while this music plays in the background. It gives the feeling of dread, isolation and emptiness that I've come to love about the Metroid series. The breathing noise in the background only improves this feeling, like something sinister lurks nearby.

I loved Super Metroid! One of the games I grew up playing with when I was a kid, but... the opening always freaked me out. The music at the title screen made me think about not playing it alone. I always felt like I was gonna die or something. o.o

metroid was, is and always will be the shit. and it was always be the most intense, and scary nintendo game. (the prime games are the scariest ones for me, specially prime 3) there's just something about being alone, it gives you this claustrophobic feeling, and all the dark environments are pretty creepy. i'm 15 and it scares me sometimes. it's awesome.
