It is amazing how many Vacuum cleaners end up in the trash for reasons like broken belts or even worse clogs. My grandparents lived in suburban Philadelphia and my grandfather would find and revive these things almost weekly and donate them to the local thrift shops or give them to relatives. I know I have never paid for or been without a vacuum.
@thatmuse76 I know,lol i just picked up a hoover custom convertible from the trash yesterday thursday 5-26-2011 on my way home from the gas station and all it needs is a light bulb and a belt, it runs and has cord and original outer bag. I did wipe it down to with some lysol spray cleaner
Now it is Clear Bag vacuum cleaner - next generation of vacuum cleaner born 100 years later in 2010. to try a transparent filter bag for seeing through.
