@castletriglav Ouch! That's pretty harsh, considering these homes are purchased by the families. They have mortgages just like the rest of us. Might want to check your facts before putting your foot in it.
This is great to see! My daughter is there with Americorps right now, and is working with Habitat for Humanity on some of these very houses in Musicians' Village. Thanks for the video!!
I want to thank you for posting this. My wife and I came from Suburban Roulette PA in August of 2006 on our honeymoon and spent 10 days helping in the musicians village.
It's heartwarming to see these homes grow that "lived in" look. we did some of the walls in the Nunnery house, helped lay the concrete walk in front of Fred Olmer's place. We are both honored and humbled. Also, being a huge dead and feets fan, ty for an awesome choice of music.
I don't get it, can someone explain why, where, and when a musicians' village was erected? Thanks. -oh P.S. the only Little Feat Band I knew was the Lowell George one, so...??
this is a true thing that happens! its not a chain letter! its kinda scary at first but it really works!! paste this message into 3 comments and press ALT F4 and your crushes name will appear on the screen!!! its soo wierd!
Great job documenting the scene Rocky. A huge thanks to all of you who helped sell the tickets, to the band for doing the deal, and to everyone who paid to play-but really paid to support New Orleans rebuilding and the N.O. musicians!
anybody who's spent any time travelling knows how good it feels to get home; I can only imagine how these new homes will be appreciated. we're all proud of ya my friend (and Feats too) ... a great idea well executed.
Rocky, SOOOOOOO happy to see that lives, at least for some, are getting better in NO. God bless, have a wonderful holiday season, and I hope to see you soon.
Thats really cool Rocky, you guys did a great job!! Hope all is well with you and your family and the band. Say hey to them next time you get the chance. Hope to see you guys soon.

Here's what I think about this nonsense.

Glad to see homes going to people who contribute to society, instead of the usual welfare leeches, who refuse to work.
