I like the darker side of Kaito better, most of the other Vocaloids (Miku, Len, Rin) are so happy and cute in some of their songs, there needs to be a more serious one too...

i think Kaito is the most complex out of all the vocoloids...in most MMD's and vids he acts like a goof...then he's like this....and in others he's REALLY scarry...just who is the real Kaito?

Well--he IS the most complex Vocaloid out there. That's why I love him so. So I think they're all the real him--he's just multifaceted like we humans are. He has a playful, social side--so he acts goofy and is a big brother of sorts to all the others (and can be just a bit pervy). He also has a deeper, darker side, which we hear when he sings about existential topics. And he has an overwhelming capacity and need for affection--hence his obsession with his Master.

I'm totally not addicted to Vocaloid...I'm totally not completely in love with a computerized voice...dammit. T.T I'm totally addicted. I'm currently hooked on this particular song to the point where whenever I open my Vocaloid playlist, it's the first song to get played. And I'm totally in love with Kaito. "Koiuta" is an awesome song. It's dark! But it's awesome. Also, Shigotoshite-P is a freaking GENIUS. (And probably the reason I'm so infatuated with Kaito.)

@hikaruchan16: Haha,Shigotoshite-P definitely has talent. I also like her style - she's one of the only Vocaloid producers who I can recognize simply by listening to her work; even pieces I've never listened to or heard of before. Her synthesis style is unique and stylish.

@MusicalShape She's an absolute genius! <3 I'm very picky about the music I listen to. And her work has earned her a spot on my top favorite artists list. Seriously. I freaking love this person's work so much it's not even funny. She does have a very unique style that I almost couldn't help liking. ^^ Plus, the way she can use the voices of Meiko and Kaito...HOLY CRAP. :#0 So amazing.
