Compounds of Fluorine are present in fluoridated toothpaste and in many
municipal water systems...
Doctor: Here's you medication.
Patient: How much should I take? What dosage?
Doctor: Take as much as you'd like.
Patient thinks to himself: Common sense tells me that isn't safe!
Yet "Fluoride" in drinking water is exactly the same thing! Mass-medication with the instructions to "Take (by drinking fluoridated water) as much as you'd like." How many people would trust a doctor that gave such...
Fluorine (from the Latin fluere, for "flow") was isolated by Henri Moissan in 1886. It is a highly toxic and reactive greenish-yellow gas at room temperature. Because of its reactivity, elemental Fluorine is never found in nature and no other chemical element can displace Fluorine from its compounds.
Where does artificial "Fluoride" come from? How is it related to "Fluorine gas?" Both elemental fluorine and fluoride ions are highly toxic and must be handled with great care and any contact with skin and eyes should be strictly avoided. Interesting that people would voluntary poison themselves!
Where I live in Canada, outsiders who go out in the forest and annoy the locals tend to get "accidentally" shot in "hunting accidents". I'm surprised this doesn't happen in Borneo.
In the 1970's scientist were talking about a ice age... The earth goes through natural cycles that have nothing to do with mankind. Saying humans are the cause leads to only one thing. Those who support eugenics i.e. mass extermination of peoples & guess who gets to decide who the unwanted are the same group of elitists who supported Hitler & the establishment of Communism in Russian- millions died & the few in power benefited. Al Gore & those like him never follow what they preach themselves!
@Beowulfsonur It seems you've swallowed a whole bunch of denialist nonsense. 1) Climate WARMING was predicted with CO2 increase by Arrhenius a v. long time ago. The 1970s ice age you talk about was NOT predicted by the majority if scientists - it was alarmist press. Moreover, the quality and amount of data we have now far outstrips anything in the 70s. It's wrong what you said AND completely irrelevant. The Hitler thing is just plain crazy. Watch this: watch?v=XB3S0fnOr0M
@LukeScientiae...Do you believe in over population & if so then the Hitler comparison isn't that far off; its called eugenics? By saying the earth's warming is because by humans when then what is the logical conclusion of that argument? It would be to eliminate a mass amount of humans "in order" to save the environment. When in reality who would benefit the most from eliminating a lot of people? The elites.Just like in Nazi Germany.Murder people & steal their property. Clue up...
@Beowulfsonur Hi Beowulf. First, overpopulation is not a "belief". Whenever ANY population of organisms has enough resources to fluorish there will come a time then resources will not be able to sustain that population eventually. That's as true of bacteria as it is of giraffes as it is of humans. Secondly, the solution to climate change has NOTHING to do with that at all. The solution to our present climate change is not eugenics but an urgent reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
@Beowulfsonur Secondly, no one is proposing eugenics as a solution to climate change and it certainly is NOT a logical conclusion of anything to do with climate. Eugenics is murdering people to select for particular characteristics. Any anyway, that the earth is warming because of fossil fuel use isn't an argument, it's a conclusion based on nearly two centuries of science, and we're getting evermore data showing its true.
@Beowulfsonur I know some people like to assert there is some giant conspiracy to start a eugenics campaign. Eugenics is a race selection thing, NEVER proposed by anyone as a climate solution, not least because it's irrelevant. Overpopulation is not a "belief"; it's a biological fact for any organisms with exponential population growth and linear resources. Global warming isn't an "argument", it's a conlusion based on huge amounts of scientific data.
@Beowulfsonur In fact, if you listen to the people who say we should act now on climate change, you'll find that the reason they want to limit greenhouse gas emissions is that if we don't, rising sea levels, dwindling water supplies and the desertification of farmlands will threaten millions of lives. The environmental campaigners want to prevent that; they want to save people's lives. The climate problem left alone will kill many people, including in resource wars (eg over water).
@Beowulfsonur@LukeScientiae Again, I think you should go and learn some science before commenting on scientific issues. To answer your question about water: GW affects water resources because higher temps mean more evaporation and the retreat of glaciers that feed rivers for many people. The intense heat also leads to severe droughts in sub-Saharan Africa, and the record-breaking droughts we've seen in the US in 2011.
@Beowulfsonur 70% of the earth is covered in water, but that water is undrinkable because it's salty. Freshwater supplies will reduce as the Earth warms. Desalination is energy intensive and huge portions of the world's population aren't able to afford it. Moreover, to desalinate water you need to get the energy from somewhere. Presently that means burning more fuel, which drives up the temperature further through GHG emissions. It's a vicious circle.
@Beowulfsonur Moreover, the climate system is varied and not all geographical locations will suffer the same effects. The water that evaporates due to higher temperatures will fall as rain elsewhere. For example, you might see the desertification of large parts of Africa, affecting millions, but the additional moisture in the air will increase the chances of typhoons in south east Asia. Thailand had terrible flooding in 2011. Flood waters are also undrinkable.
@Beowulfsonur If you're concerned about the welfare of millions of people about the world, ask yourself how many of them will cope when they live on land that will be at considerably higher risk of flooding, or otherwise on land that will be destroyed by intense heat waves (which will affect plant life, foodstocks and all the rest).
@LukeScientiae.....Chief chemist of the National Cancer Institute, Dr. Dean Burk when confronted with mountains of data, stated before Congress:
"In point of fact, fluoride causes more human cancer death, and causes it faster than any other chemical." -- Congressional Record 21 July 1976 .......
@Beowulfsonur And besides, let's go back to the original point: your original comment listed a whole string of scientifically illiterate claims. When you write "clue up" I should tell you that its very obvious you don't know your science. Warming was predicted by Arrhenius a long, long time ago. The 1970s cooling prediction was newspaper sensationalism largely; it's been obvious that CO2 will warm the planet for a long time. You really have to watch out for lies told about climate.
@Beowulfsonur There are many people who will tell you scientifically illiterate things about climate because they hope you don't understand the science and that they can use that to persuade you that action is unnecessary. Climate has nothing to do with Nazism. Please, go and learn some science. Go to skeptical science dot com, click on "arguments" at the top left and see what else you think you "know". My guess is you'll find many things you were told that aren't true.
@LukeScientiae...So here's what the "crazy irrelevant" person has to say. Funny though because a real scientist would know that no data collected using The Scientific Method is irrelevant like you just did. 0_0 However scientist with an agenda can manipulate data to say whatever they or whomever their research funding comes from wants them to say. Its happened before & it will most likely happen again! Fluoride is a perfect example. Its a byproduct of industrial aluminum product, a poison...
@Beowulfsonur If you're going to allege that the world's climatologists, zoologists, atmospheric scientists, physicists and so on... from literally over a hundred countries on the planet are all cooking their data... then you better have some extremely strong evidence to suggest a link between their funding sources and all of them supporting the same, unanimous conclusion. Otherwise, you're alleging a ridiculous, hugely unlikely conspiracy without any evidence.
@Beowulfsonur People who allege such conspiracy stories are often happy to ignore 3 things: 1. the conclusions of the scientists are available for others to read (that's why scientists publish), 2. there is no global control of science, via funding or otherwise, 3. How likely is it that this story is so huge, involving 100s of thousands of people and no one has leaked it, inc. none of the scientists, technicians, PhD students, postdocs, journal referees or any of their families?
@Beowulfsonur It's clear from what you have written about climate science, fresh water, the 1970s "cooling" and so on, that you have very little idea about science, and I'm confident that you have absolutely no experience of how scientific funding works either. Despite this you allege gigantic conspiracy theories based on claims about science funding, that involve 100,000s of people. It's as unevidenced and unlikely an explanation as it is possible to propose.
@Beowulfsonur At the same time, you dismiss the scientific data without having read it or understood what it means. The bottom line is that you're happy to dismiss the science, the scientists, the data and invoke gigantic conspiracies based on funding when you don't understand the science, haven't read the data and know nothing about how science funding works. Now, why do that? Why do that instead of going away and actually learning something, e.g. about fresh water supplies?
@LukeScientiae...you most likely put it on your toothbrush every night. Why because not that long ago the aluminum industry realized that they could by using "scientist, dentists, & doctors" with a lot of charts & PhD's get the American people to literally swallow their industrial waste product & feel good about poisoning themselves in the process. Smoking at one time in America was "Doctor recommended," so go ahead & keep buying what they're selling at your own risk if that's what you want.
@Beowulfsonur Your view of the history of science is really simplistic. Firstly, smoking was recommended 1. before any good epidemiological data linking it to cancer was found (we now have that data). 2. smoking was promoted by tobacco companies who told people there were "doubts" over the claims it was harmful. That is the same thing fossil fuel companies are doing now to convince you there are "doubts" about the climates science when there aren't any. See: /watch?v=gjVjr-qOpNk
@Beowulfsonur It's obvious that you don't understand much science. It's precisely for that reason that the fossil fuel industry (e.g. Exxon) hope to persuade you that climate change isn't happening by funding propaganda about how "doubtful" the science is (e.g. by giving money to think tanks like the Competitive Enterprise Institute). Your analogy with smoking is right: the way promotion of smoking was done was to prey on people's scientific illiteracy. So go and learn some science
@LukeScientiae...Its obvious you support Propaganda Science...Perhaps you'd like to drink a little Mercury, cause a little won't kill you but it does built up in the brain tissue just like fluoride builds up in the bones/body! ...in Nazi Germany in the water supply of the Jewish ghettos. I'm sure this was because he was concerned about Jewish peoples teeth, NOT! You are either ignorant of the facts or your pushing the lies started by Alcoa Aluminum. So BYE & be blessed..
@Beowulfsonur You're wrong on water fluoridation. For ALL SUBSTANCES you have levels that are safe and dangerous. You can die of a water overdose if you want (would you have said water is a poison, or part of some conspiracy? No.) So what matters is the dose. Decades of epidemiological data show that fluoride prevents tooth decay when used in moderation. There's no such thing as "poison"or "not-poison". What matters is what effects you get with what dosage.
@LukeScientiae...Turn the toothpaste tube over a READ the Warning! It Goes something like this: Harmful If Swallowed Contact the Poison Control Center Immediately! Its a poison! "What matters is what effects you get with what dosage." -LukeScientiae...It's in most cities drinking water so if your drinking it every day its building up in your system! Another words you don't know the amount your getting! Fluoridation of water was first used by Hitler
@Beowulfsonur Yet again you make a reference to Hitler, and yet again it's pure bullshit. Just because you WANT certain things to be bad, doesn't mean 1. That they are and you can prove it by making up crap and shouting about it, 2. That it has anything to do with Hitler in reality. The fluoridation of water (YOUR example) is one of the greatest public health achievements of the 20th century, reducing tooth cavities by 25%. 100s of independent studies show its safety.
@LukeScientiae...Your ignorance is truly astounding. Paying to poison the water supply of millions of people is an achievement alright of propaganda i.e. Edward Bernays style! If Colombian Cocaine Dealers fully funded scientist to come up with research supporting the benefits of cocaine use you'd be out there snorting it like there's no tomorrow... Name one truly independent study that has been done on fluoride (a by product of the nuclear industry & industrial aluminum production).....yummy
@Beowulfsonur It's your ignorance that is astonishing, not mine. I already told you where you can find the scientific literature. You presumably have no interest in reading it - only dismissing things that disagree with you. Given as I'm an assistant professor in chemistry, I'm well positioned to inform you that the source of a chemical compound doesn't determine its toxicity. Fluoride derived from Al production doesn't make it more toxic than if it came from the Virgin Mary's tit.
@Beowulfsonur You can continue asserting that fluoride is poison or you can admit to yourself - and its clear to everyone else reading this - that you haven't read and have no intention of reading what the data is or how it was gathered. The reason for that is that you prefer to reject it on the grounds that it doesn't agree with you, not because you have any evidence that the data is unreliable. Hence the "Hitler" bullshit and your refusal to look up the literature.
@LukeScientiae..Should a nuclear bomb go off near you in the future just remember to "Drop Duck & Cover," as I'm sure that will keep you safe & if you ask me "How do I know if that method works"? My reply will be "Because that is what the government propaganda video told me; but of course they won't tell me a lie. No way just like the aluminum industry whose by product Fluoride is not only polluting humans but it also is getting into rivers & streams & the oceans harming fish & other wildlife.
@Beowulfsonur Let's see now: have you read the data on the effects of fluoride? No. Do you have any information about why the data is unreliable? No. Do you dismiss the data, without having read it? Yes. Have you made bullshit claims (e.g. w.r.t. Hitler)? Yes. Are you so chemically illiterate as to fail to appreciate that the SOURCE of a chemical compound doesn't determine it's toxicity? Yes. In total, you know nothing beyond whatever alarmist, illiterate nonsense you've imbibed.
@Beowulfsonur For those reading the nonsense @Beowulfsonur is putting out, please see this: /watch?v=MAXwv7j_jbY. Please consider that his nonsense about "propaganda science" is the most ridiculous of all conspiracy bull: a world full of deceiving scientists in every country of the world, all coming out with the same conclusions so people can be poisoned. Oh, and don't forget Hitler! Mere mention of him and the Holocaust MUST mean that fluoridation is bad!
@Beowulfsonur In reality, fluoridation is one of the most successful medical advances in history. Fluoride works by interfering with the demineralization mechanism of tooth decay, which is an infectious disease. Just about the worst things it causes are discoloration of teeth. @Beowulfsonur would have us all believe in a giant Hitler-based conspiracy - the same unevidenced bullshit he offered to explain away climate science. Coincidence? No; it's what denialists do all the time!
@LukeScientiae...Using words like "bullshit." Prove to me you have a very limited vocabulary so how smart are you really? Yeah, what's that? Anymore limited vocabulary to show your vast ignorance? Funny how my "Hitler-based conspiracy," is actually based on historic facts that not that many people search out for themselves. IBM manufactured the tattooing machines for the Nazi concentration camps. You call yourself a scientist yet your incapable of simple research on a computer! Seriously?
@LukeScientiae...Oh, you used the "C" word I'm so scared right now. “When a man uses profanity to support an argument, it indicates that either the man or the argument is weak - probably both”- “Profanity is the common crutch of the conversational cripple.”-David Keuck If you wanna personally pay a Carbon Tax to Global Warming alarmist Al Gore in order to make him even richer then go right ahead. By the way how much fuel does his jet take & why did an environmentalist own stocks in oil?
@Beowulfsonur For your information, if Gore never existed, climate science would still be there. Thousands of scientists working in many different countries - climatologists, physicists, atmospheric chemists, oceanographers, biologists... We know enough about our GHG emissions to reliably conclude they're warming the planet. Multliple lines of independent evidence. But you prefer talking about Gore's investments, yelling "Hitler" and regurgitating denialist nonsense.
@Beowulfsonur If the C word you refer to is "crank", then I stand by it: Lomborg has systematically distorted climate science findings and isn't even able to stick to one position. It's very telling that you know nothing about climate science: people who attack Gore prefer it to reading the data. Same tactic as you use for your fluoride denialism: assert everything is propaganda, dismiss the evidence, and yell "Hitler" instead of learning the science.
@Beowulfsonur Bottom line is: do you read the scientific literature or do you dismiss it without knowing anything about it? Do you even know how to search the literature? Do you assert things about the studies you dismiss without any evidence they're unreliable? Do you understand how scientific knowledge if funded and aggregated or analyzed? The answer to all of these is obvious in your case and no amount of talking about "Hitler", citing Lomborg or Gore's portfolio will fix that.
@LukeScientiae..."denialists" is not actually a word so "denialists" don't actually do anything because its not a real word. I believe the appropriate term is skeptic or denier. Climate science is in its infancy...so much is yet unknown...a lot is only speculation. No hard scientific proof has come forward, in spite of some of the blind rants like yours. A lot of the so called "environmentalism" is more about governmental control & profiteering & less about actually protecting the environment.
@LukeScientiae on fluoride book: "The Crime and Punishment of I.G. Farben" by Joseph Borkin. Cool It (2010) a documentary film & The Skeptical Environmentalist's Guide To Global Warming(Bjorn Lomborg).Science has also brought The Atomic Bomb & chemical & biological weapons!Yeah science & scientist for inventing more efficient methods of killing mass numbers of people!! No it is you who conveniently ignores Fluoride research about the negative effects it has going back to the 1930s til now!
@LukeScientiae.This letter was written by a brilliant (and objectively honest) scientist
named Dr. E.H. Bronner. Dr. Bronner was a nephew of the great Albert Einstein, served time in a WWII prison camp and wrote the following letter printed in the Catholic Mirror, Springfield, MA, January 1952: "It appears that the citizens of Massachusetts are among the 'next' on the agenda of the water poisoners.
@LukeScientiae.."There is a sinister network of subversive agents, Godless intellectual parasites, working in our country today whose ramifications grow more extensive, more successful and more alarming each new year and whose true objective is to demoralize, paralyze and destroy our great Republic ---- from within if they can, according to their plan --- for their own possession." "The tragic success they have already attained in their long siege to destroy the moral fiber of American life...
@LukeScientiae...is now one of their most potent footholds towards their own ultimate victory over us. "Fluoridation of our community water systems can well become their most subtle weapon for our sure physical and mental deterioration..."As a research chemist of established standing, I built within the past 22 years, 3 American chemical plants and licensed 6 of my 53 patents. Based on my years of practical experience in the health-food and chemical field, let me warn: fluoridation of...
@LukeScientiae...drinking water is criminal insanity, sure national suicide. Don`t do it. "Even in small quantities, sodium fluoride is a deadly poison to which no effective antidote has been found. Every exterminator knows that it is the most efficient rat-killer. ... Sodium fluoride is entirely different from organic calcium-fluoro-phosphate needed by our bodies and provided by nature, in God`s great providence and love, to build and strengthen our bones and our teeth...
@LukeScientiae...This organic calcium-fluoro-phosphate, derived from proper foods, is an edible organic salt, insoluble in water and assimilable by the human body, whereas the non-organic sodium fluoride used in fluoridating water is instant poison to the body and fully water soluble. The body refuses to assimilate it."Careful, bonafide laboratory experimentation by conscientious,..
@LukeScientiae...patriotic research chemists, and actual medical experience, have both revealed that instead of preserving or promoting `dental health,` fluoridated drinking water destroys teeth, before adulthood and after, by the destructive mottling and other pathological conditions it actually causes in them, and also creates many other very grave pathological conditions in the internal organisms of bodies consuming it. How can it be called a "health" plan? What`s behind it?...
@LukeScientiae... "That any so-called "doctors" would persuade a civilized nation to add voluntarily a deadly poison to its drinking water systems is unbelievable. It is the height of criminal insanity."No wonder Hitler and Stalin fully believed and agreed from 1939 to 1941 that, quoting from both Lenin`s Last Will and Hitler`s Mein Kampf: "America we shall demoralize, divide, and destroy from within." ...
@LukeScientiae..."Are our Civil Defense organizations and agencies awake to the perils of water poisoning by fluoridation? Its use has been recorded in other countries. Sodium fluoride water solutions are the cheapest and most effective rat killers known to chemists: colorless, odorless, tasteless; no antidote, no remedy, no hope: Instant and complete extermination of rats. "Fluoridation of water systems can be slow national suicide, or quick national liquidation...
@Beowulfsonur Science is rewarding and has brought many benefits. Just consider the hugely increased life expectancy brought about by modern science (medicine, organ transplants, food for billions from fertilizer, blood transfusion, antibiotics, and so on). But @Beowulfsonur suffers from denialism which has him blame things he doesn't like (even if they're untrue), on evil scientists trying to kill people. Ironically, @Beowulfsonur is using computer technology (science) to do this.
@Beowulfsonur Lomborg is a crank. There are some people who claim water fluoridation of water is bad; that doesn't make it true. There is a ton of reliable research on this subject. Fluoride interferes with tooth decay, which is a major disease. The benefits are massive, the harm is minimal. Your "Hitler was first" bullshit doesn't wash; Brazil was the first country to introduce public water fluoridation in 1954. Science has doubled life expectancy, btw.
@Beowulfsonur It would also help if you learned how to do a proper literature search for what is known about the effects of water fluoridation, instead of citing the handful of sources you're familiar with and already agree with. You can begin with PubMed. It wouldn't harm for you to learn something about how the reliability of epidemiological studies is assessed as well, instead of simply shouting "Hitler" every time you want someone to take up your alarmist, illiterate nonsense.
@LukeScientiae...Ask a Holocaust survivor just how rewarded she or he feels toward scientists or how rewarded they feel by having been experimented on?
@Beowulfsonur You're obviously unable to differentiate between Nazism and science. What Nazis did to Holocaust victims was not genuine science. If you can't see the difference between Nazism and science then you clearly know nothing not only about science but about history as well. Why don't you acknowledge that science has doubled the world's average life expectancy in under 100 years? If you reject science, switch off your computer and never go to the doctor or dentist again.
@LukeScientiae...Wasn't the practice of "Blood Letting" once considered science? Lead paint was once everywhere & DDT was being sprayed on everything. 1 out of every 2 doctors recommended Camel cigarettes. Those were the days, huh? Operation Paperclip ring any bells? Common sense rejects propaganda. The idea is to be healthy on your own so you don't have to go to the doctor. Humans survived for 1,000's of years without doctors or dentists because they knew natural cures found in nature.Bless U
@LukeScientiae... "When the Nazis under Hitler decided to go into Poland, both the German General Staff and the Russian General Staff exchanged scientific and military ideas, plans, and personnel, and the scheme of mass control through water medication was seized upon by the Russian Communists because it fitted ideally into their plan to communize the world...-CHARLES E. PERKINS, Chemist, 2 October 1954.
@LukeScientiae..."I was told of this entire scheme by a German chemist who was an official of the great I.G Farben chemical industries and was also prominent in the Nazi movement at the time. I say this with all the earnestness and sincerity of a scientist who has spent nearly 20 years' research into the chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and pathology of fluorine--..
@LukeScientiae...any person who drinks artificially fluoridated water for a period of one year or more will never again be the same person mentally or physically." -CHARLES E. PERKINS, Chemist, 2 October 1954.
@Beowulfsonur@Beowulfsonur Despite my repeated invitations that you read the modern evidence concerning fluoridation, or even learn how to search the literature on this subject you refuse to do it. That is, you are determined to stay wilfully ignorant on the subject. Instead, you've given a quote from nearly 60 years ago by one guy. Clearly, you don't understand how science arrives at reliable conclusions. If you don't read the data, you've no business commentnig on the science.
@LukeScientiae...I gave you a chance to name "one" truly "independent double blind study" & interestingly enough you were not able to do so. You have very nicely & neatly proven my points for me. Thanks you for doing so. I do not call you ignorant because I realize you are being paid to post lies on the internet which is quite pathetic, sad, & disparate. Times are hard for lots of people so I do hope you have enough self respect to find a legitimate occupation. The blind do indeed led the blind
1. If you have such evidence I'm getting paid, produce it. (It doesn't exist; I'm not paid in the way you continue to allege). You just made it up to suit yourself.
2. I didn't name a single study - I told you where you can find THOUSANDS of independent studies. You ignore this because you want to stay ignorant. And you want that to protect your ridiculous, denialist beliefs.
These two things tell us all we need to know about your position.
@LukeScientiae...Once again you are showing your severe lack of education by your continual use of a made up word "denialist." You are a blogger & bloggers get paid to write online if not directly then indirectly through advertising. You stated on your old blog that you are a "chemist a postdoctoral organic chemist currently working in Sweden.." This blog is moving to lukesci(dot)com
@Beowulfsonur My blog (lukesci dot com) has no advertising and I make no money from it. In fact, I have to pay myself for the domain hosting. So in alleging that I get paid for what I say, you are not only wrong and have no evidence for the claim, but are saying it only because you are so scientifically illiterate (or in denial) you cannot actually defend your claims about fluoridation. For example, it is apparently totally beyond you to look up the studies I directed you to.
@Beowulfsonur And "denialist" is not a made up word. You're the one with the education problem. I am not even the only science blogger who tries to counter denialism such as yours, e.g. wrt water fluoridation. Your claims about it being used by Hitler, etc. are absolutely false. Just because you don't understand the biological role of fluoride, doesn't justify repeating without checking the claim that it was used by Hitler. That's just total bullshit and you know it (ie denialism).
@LukeScientiae..."In 1969 the country of Sweden intended to fluoridate their water supply due to the strong advice of Professor Yngve Ericsson, a Swedish dentist who was also the senior representative on the World Health Organization's Expert
@LukeScientiae..."We ought to go slowly. Everybody knows that fluorine and fluorides are very poisonous substances and we use them in enzyme chemistry to poison enzymes, those vital agents in the body. That is the reason things are
poisoned; because enzymes are poisoned, and that is why animals and...
@LukeScientiae...plants die." - James B. Sumner, Director of Enzyme Chemistry, Department of Biochemistry and Nutrition, Cornell University, and a Nobel Prize winner for his work in the field of enzyme chemistry.
@LukeScientiae..."Fluorides are general protoplasmic poisons, probably because of their capacity to modify the metabolism of cells by changing the permeability of the cell membrane and by inhibiting certain enzyme systems. The exact mechanism of such actions is obscure." - Journal of the American Medical Association, Sept 18, 1943. (before the propaganda steamroller really got going in 1947)
@LukeScientiae..."The fluoride ion exerts its toxic effect by inhibiting the action of many enzyme systems." - Hugo Theorell, M.D., Nobel Prize winner for his research in the field of enzyme chemistry.
@LukeScientiae...Throughout Fluoride and Dental Caries there were instances of “looking” at objections to fluoridation, and the appearance of carefully considering them was undertaken. The close relationship between ALCOA, the other fluoride polluters and the early fluoridation researchers is nowhere mentioned, although it is well documented and is consistently one of the biggest issues raised by fluoridation's opponents.
@LukeScientiae..A table on the “anti-science” arguments against fluoridation was produced on page 130, in a chapter titled “Legal, Social and Economics Aspects of Fluoridation,” that even mentioned the “Communist conspiracy” aspect of fluoridation. Nowhere was mentioned the obvious economic incentives of fluoride polluters to manage the fluoridation issue, and the well-documented instances of...
@LukeScientiae..them funding and influencing the fluoridation research, even when it is merely the smoking gun of conflict of interest. The authors of that chapter, including the book’s editor, used the words “pseudoscientist” and “quack” to describe fluoridation opponents and their “anti-science.” In the chapter purporting to look at the broad spectrum of issues regarding fluoridation, the ALCOA and fluoride polluter issue was spectacularly absent.
@LukeScientiae...Dr. Mullenix was then given an unfunded research position at Children's Hospital in Boston, but with no equipment or money. Mullenix said, "The
people at Children's Hospital, for heaven's sake, came right out and said they were scared because they knew how important the fluoride issue was…Even at Forsyth they told me I was endangering funds for the institution if I published that information."
@LukeScientiae..If you want Fluoride in your water than that's your choice but do not force it on others! Ignorance is your corner so feel free to stay in it.
@LukeScientiae.Rohypnol, the notorious drug used in date rapes, is fluoridated Valium, making it more than twenty times as potent as normal Valium. Prozac is
another fluoridated drug. In all, there are hundreds of fluoridated drugs, and many have profound mental effects, including memory loss. The primary effect of psychoactive drugs is inhibiting enzyme production, which the fluorine ion is well known to do.
@Beowulfsonur You clearly don't understand a thing about what you're saying. You don't even seem to understand that fluorine and fluoride are NOT the same thing, and have very different effects, and moreover, that fluorine bound to carbon (as in pharmaceuticals) is not something whose role you can comment on in disconnection to other structural details of the molecule. You really should realise that your utter chemical illiteracy is on show for all to see.
@LukeScientiae.. In light of other facts surrounding fluoridation, this begins treading frightening territory. Fluoridation promoters and others often laugh off such situations as the workings of hopelessly paranoid minds. In light of declassified memos regarding U.S. CNS experiments of fifty years ago (at nearly the same time the Nazis and Soviets were doing similar kinds of experiments), and the studies that are performed across the world on fluoridation and intelligence,
@LukeScientiae...I am not laughing. Recently two studies in China showed a drop in IQ of children exposed to fluoride in the water supply of between 5 and 19 points.
@LukeScientiae..."Fluoridation is a naive utopia, without practical effect, and an attack on personal liberty." - Minister of Health, Luxembourg, 1976.
@Beowulfsonur When will you cease cherry-picking quotes from 70 years ago and from irrelevant politicians and acknowledge that there is a tonne of scientific evidence documenting the health effects of water fluoridation, to which I have already referred you AT YOUR REQUEST? The answer, of course, is never, because you're more interested in lying about fluoridation, Hitler and even me, simply because you're too scientifically illiterate to read and understand that evidence.
@LukeScientiae..."I would advise against fluoridation... Side-effects cannot be excluded... In Sweden, the emphasis nowadays is to keep the environment as clean as possible with regard to pharmacologically active and, thus, potentially toxic
substances." - Dr. Arvid Carlsson, co-winner of the Nobel Prize for Medicine (2000)
@LukeScientiae..."I am appalled at the prospect of using water as a vehicle for drugs. Fluoride is a corrosive poison that will produce serious effects on a long range basis. Any attempt to use water this way is deplorable."
- Dr. Charles Gordon Heyd, Past President of the American Medical Association.
@LukeScientiae..."Fluorides are general protoplasmic poisons, with the capacity to modify cell metabolism, changing the permeability of the cell membrane by
inhibiting certain enzymes. Sources of fluoride intoxication include drinking water containing 1ppm or more of fluorine."
-Journal of the American Medical Association, September 18, 1943.
@LukeScientiae...How did it suddenly become "safe"? "The mutagenic properties of fluorides have been demonstrated by experiments carried out under the strictest scientific conditions. " -Quebec Ministerial Inquiry into Fluoridation 1979.
@Beowulfsonur You're an idiot. All you're doing is repeating things you don't understand and you're simply ignoring chemical reality to do it. And, what's worse, YOU KNOW that you're chemically illiterate and are happy to make it abundantly clear. Fluorine and fluoride is NOT the same thing (you don't recognize the difference), you ignore the THOUSANDS of independent studies I directed you to on fluoridation of water, you lie about Hitler using it. Why bother?
@Beowulfsonur I've already told you that how poisonous something is is down to the concentration and its relation to other chemicals. You cannot just say something is a poison outside of data about concentrations. That is why LD50 values are measured, for example. Fluoridation of water has a beneficial health effect at low concentrations for the reason that it acts against tooth decay, which can get very nasty. You're not going to make that fact go away by cherry-picking.
@LukeScientiae...Now whose "ignorant" & "ridiculous?" I suggest you purchase a mirror & find the answer to that question.. Then again you make up nonexistent words like "denialist" & then expect people to believe what your saying. When you apparently are physically or mentally incapable of opening up a dictionary & finding out that "denialist" is not an actual word & furthermore your repeated usage of it will not make it a real word! Daniel Webster wrote a good dictionary. Go buy one!
@LukeScientiae..."I'm not paid in the way you continue to allege."-LukeScientiae ..But you are being paid..Adverts (advertisements) as you call them do pay you though.
@Beowulfsonur No, I keep telling you: I am not paid to blog in any way. My blog doesn't even have adverts on it. What is it about you that makes you want to allege so many falsehoods?
@LukeScientiae...CONNETT: What about this notion of using the water supply as a vehicle of delivering medication? Can you speak to what you see as the problems with that?
CARLSSON: Yea, it's absolutely obsolete. In modern pharmacology it's so clear that even if you have a fixed dose of a drug, the individuals respond very differently to one and the same dose...
@LukeScientiae...Now, in this case, you have it in the water and people are drinking different amounts of water. So you have huge variations in the consumption of this drug. So, it's against all modern principles of pharmacology. It's obsolete, I don't think anybody in Sweden, not a single dentist, would bring up this question in Sweden anymore." -Dr. Arvid Carlsson, a famed pharmacologist at Gothenburg University and recent winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine/Physiology.
@LukeScientiae...Its not my "position," or my "beliefs," its a facts. I have presented them & you have fail to do so. It appears your "education" was more along the lines of indoctrination. Its refreshing to see you know it all & have lost the desire for actual learning. As this is so, I'm done here. By all means please continue to poison yourself by choice but leave it out of other peoples water/bodies. Its a little thing called personal choice. Does liberty mean anything to you?
For example, U.S. Representative John Dingell’s plan to tax carbon would add 13% to the cost of electricity and 32% to the cost of gasoline; just what we need during a Recession that threatens to become a Depression.
“Further,” says Ashworth, “no regulation by man is necessary because CO2 is not a pollutant; it is part of the animal-plant life cycle. Without it, life would not exist on Earth. Increased CO2 in the atmosphere increases plant growth, which is a very good thing during a period of world population growth and an increasing demand for food.”
“Taxing carbon,” Ashworth adds, “would do absolutely nothing to improve the climate but would be devastating hardship to the people of the world.”
” Nature is a totally self-regulating mechanism that dwarfs any mindless effort to “control” the amount of CO2 produced by coal-fired utilities, steel manufacturers, autos and trucks, and gasoline fueled lawn mowers, not to forget fireplaces where logs glow or just about any human activity you can name, including exhaling two pounds of the stuff every day!
@PHubb...I suppose you want to pay Carbon Taxes to a bunch of elitist bankers in Switzerland who have work to bring about the current world wide economic conditions! Come on!
Did anyone on here watch the documentary on Egyptian trash collectors has they have been recycling 80% of the trash they collect & now big Italian garbage companies are taking away the Egyptian trash collectors livelihood? The Italian recycle hardly any of it. Heather Rogers what a beautiful trash talker serious she is.
Its not the system, our government structure in theory is great. Capitalism involves materialistic possessions. In order to have these things made and mass produced people need to make them (not in America) Which means factories need to be made (not in America) and land needs to be used (not in America) so our capitalism is adding to pollution and contributing to global warming.
What I don't understand is why this is blamed on capitalism. This is CLEARLY a failure of government. What they should do is use the capitalistic idea private property and have the indigenous people sue the shit out of this company for things like fraud and breach of contract and make them restore the forest back (as close to) it's pre-palm tree condition. This would keep them from doing it again (fear of loss).
The fundamental task of communists is to build the vanguard party. This requires distinguishing between layers within the class in order to win the emerging vanguard. Leninists know that even mass revolutionary parties cannot skip over the advanced layer in order to lead the broad mass of workers without disastrous consequences.
By the way, global warming is a business. What USA needs is a political party composed of poor people, of real homeless, and americans who are beating the bullets economically, who would be willing to rebel riot and revolt against this evil system
You guys gotta realize, that the middle classes in America are against any change, that the middle classes support the US corporate fascist system along with its doctrine and system of concentration of wealth in a few, and deep poverty in the lower majority of americans. The Middle consumerist american classes are benefitting from this capitalist imperialist zionist system of bailouts of the rich, Pentagon wars and oppression

@linuxpuppy. ahahah. you do that buddy. then kindly let us know who these people are you refer to before you again compulsively spank off to videos about rainforest ecology and biofuels.
@linuxpuppy Who have you been reading? Alex Jones? BPs website? The vast majority of climate scientists agree it is happening and pseudoskeptics get more press in the CORPORATE media so numbnuts like you think its some kind of equal debate. You don't even hear the scientists who think it is even worse. Read James Hansen, Tim Flannery, Bill McKibben, James Lovelock. Actually scientists. Stay away from corporate media.
It seems that most of the Climate-Gate arguements on why Global Warming is supose to be fake can be sumed up as; "It gets cold in the winter, not warm, therefore the the globe isn't warming." Geniuses
"don't support claims that the science of global warming was faked, according to an exhaustive review by The Associated Press......vast body of evidence showing the world is warming because of man-made greenhouse gas emissions."You have totally (and foolishly) bought into the oil corporations campaign to deny the science of climate change.
It's climate change that's destroying the planet, not 'global warming' - cold or warm temperatures in a given season are not indicators of the problem. .
"there is no ... global warming ... just look at this horrible low temperatures this winter."
Dear asshole:
The first thing you learn in a meteorology or climatology course is the difference between climate and weather. If you don't even know this basic difference -- which is evident from your idiotic comment -- shut the fuck up.
green capitalism in its true sense is about small business`s interacting on a local basis. this video`s message is that socialism as naturally green, all green economists do not believe in unlimited growth given that we live in a planet of finite resources, however socialism does, example labour in the uk introduced a car scrapping scheme which so drivers to trade in their own perfectly working car for a new one in order to keep the car industry going this was obviously completely unsustainable
@murrman33 Climat gate was a lot of bullshit. Those e-mails that were leaked weren't even from the people who collected the original source data which has always publicly been available. Now an investigation has been done and the scientists involved have been totally cleared. It was the definition of something being blown out of proportion. Is this reported? No.
@murrman33 None of that is happening, it is proven and ADMITTEDLY lies and misrepresentation of data! Do you read anything but the same self-perpetuating propaganda all the time?
"They had cleared 15,000 acres of, er, this forest these people had been relying on, and, Um, and so, in 2007 I'm just gonna show you the village a little, thats the pathway up to the village, heh! Um,

@ginganz13 I understood her perfectly and didn't mind she isn't a practiced PR wonk. Why don't you get off your arse and do your own presentation instead of giving critical comments about stuff that doesn't matter.
@ginganz13 I don't care what you think most people don't suffer from or what you and trying to imply about myself. The point is you attacked her because you think she didn't present her talk well.
Beowulfsonur 1 month ago
Where does artificial "Fluoride" come from? How is it related to "Fluorine gas?" Both elemental fluorine and fluoride ions are highly toxic and must be handled with great care and any contact with skin and eyes should be strictly avoided. Interesting that people would voluntary poison themselves!

Beowulfsonur 8 months ago
@Beowulfsonur It seems you've swallowed a whole bunch of denialist nonsense. 1) Climate WARMING was predicted with CO2 increase by Arrhenius a v. long time ago. The 1970s ice age you talk about was NOT predicted by the majority if scientists - it was alarmist press. Moreover, the quality and amount of data we have now far outstrips anything in the 70s. It's wrong what you said AND completely irrelevant. The Hitler thing is just plain crazy. Watch this: watch?v=XB3S0fnOr0M
LukeScientiae 2 months ago
@LukeScientiae...Do you believe in over population & if so then the Hitler comparison isn't that far off; its called eugenics? By saying the earth's warming is because by humans when then what is the logical conclusion of that argument? It would be to eliminate a mass amount of humans "in order" to save the environment. When in reality who would benefit the most from eliminating a lot of people? The elites.Just like in Nazi Germany.Murder people & steal their property. Clue up...
Beowulfsonur 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur Hi Beowulf. First, overpopulation is not a "belief". Whenever ANY population of organisms has enough resources to fluorish there will come a time then resources will not be able to sustain that population eventually. That's as true of bacteria as it is of giraffes as it is of humans. Secondly, the solution to climate change has NOTHING to do with that at all. The solution to our present climate change is not eugenics but an urgent reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur Secondly, no one is proposing eugenics as a solution to climate change and it certainly is NOT a logical conclusion of anything to do with climate. Eugenics is murdering people to select for particular characteristics. Any anyway, that the earth is warming because of fossil fuel use isn't an argument, it's a conclusion based on nearly two centuries of science, and we're getting evermore data showing its true.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur I know some people like to assert there is some giant conspiracy to start a eugenics campaign. Eugenics is a race selection thing, NEVER proposed by anyone as a climate solution, not least because it's irrelevant. Overpopulation is not a "belief"; it's a biological fact for any organisms with exponential population growth and linear resources. Global warming isn't an "argument", it's a conlusion based on huge amounts of scientific data.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur In fact, if you listen to the people who say we should act now on climate change, you'll find that the reason they want to limit greenhouse gas emissions is that if we don't, rising sea levels, dwindling water supplies and the desertification of farmlands will threaten millions of lives. The environmental campaigners want to prevent that; they want to save people's lives. The climate problem left alone will kill many people, including in resource wars (eg over water).
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@LukeScientiae...With 70% of the earth being covered with water & desalination & rain water just how is water a dwindling resource??
Beowulfsonur 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur @LukeScientiae Again, I think you should go and learn some science before commenting on scientific issues. To answer your question about water: GW affects water resources because higher temps mean more evaporation and the retreat of glaciers that feed rivers for many people. The intense heat also leads to severe droughts in sub-Saharan Africa, and the record-breaking droughts we've seen in the US in 2011.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur 70% of the earth is covered in water, but that water is undrinkable because it's salty. Freshwater supplies will reduce as the Earth warms. Desalination is energy intensive and huge portions of the world's population aren't able to afford it. Moreover, to desalinate water you need to get the energy from somewhere. Presently that means burning more fuel, which drives up the temperature further through GHG emissions. It's a vicious circle.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur Moreover, the climate system is varied and not all geographical locations will suffer the same effects. The water that evaporates due to higher temperatures will fall as rain elsewhere. For example, you might see the desertification of large parts of Africa, affecting millions, but the additional moisture in the air will increase the chances of typhoons in south east Asia. Thailand had terrible flooding in 2011. Flood waters are also undrinkable.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago

Beowulfsonur 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur And besides, let's go back to the original point: your original comment listed a whole string of scientifically illiterate claims. When you write "clue up" I should tell you that its very obvious you don't know your science. Warming was predicted by Arrhenius a long, long time ago. The 1970s cooling prediction was newspaper sensationalism largely; it's been obvious that CO2 will warm the planet for a long time. You really have to watch out for lies told about climate.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur There are many people who will tell you scientifically illiterate things about climate because they hope you don't understand the science and that they can use that to persuade you that action is unnecessary. Climate has nothing to do with Nazism. Please, go and learn some science. Go to skeptical science dot com, click on "arguments" at the top left and see what else you think you "know". My guess is you'll find many things you were told that aren't true.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@LukeScientiae...So here's what the "crazy irrelevant" person has to say. Funny though because a real scientist would know that no data collected using The Scientific Method is irrelevant like you just did. 0_0 However scientist with an agenda can manipulate data to say whatever they or whomever their research funding comes from wants them to say. Its happened before & it will most likely happen again! Fluoride is a perfect example. Its a byproduct of industrial aluminum product, a poison...
Beowulfsonur 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur If you're going to allege that the world's climatologists, zoologists, atmospheric scientists, physicists and so on... from literally over a hundred countries on the planet are all cooking their data... then you better have some extremely strong evidence to suggest a link between their funding sources and all of them supporting the same, unanimous conclusion. Otherwise, you're alleging a ridiculous, hugely unlikely conspiracy without any evidence.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur People who allege such conspiracy stories are often happy to ignore 3 things: 1. the conclusions of the scientists are available for others to read (that's why scientists publish), 2. there is no global control of science, via funding or otherwise, 3. How likely is it that this story is so huge, involving 100s of thousands of people and no one has leaked it, inc. none of the scientists, technicians, PhD students, postdocs, journal referees or any of their families?
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur It's clear from what you have written about climate science, fresh water, the 1970s "cooling" and so on, that you have very little idea about science, and I'm confident that you have absolutely no experience of how scientific funding works either. Despite this you allege gigantic conspiracy theories based on claims about science funding, that involve 100,000s of people. It's as unevidenced and unlikely an explanation as it is possible to propose.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur At the same time, you dismiss the scientific data without having read it or understood what it means. The bottom line is that you're happy to dismiss the science, the scientists, the data and invoke gigantic conspiracies based on funding when you don't understand the science, haven't read the data and know nothing about how science funding works. Now, why do that? Why do that instead of going away and actually learning something, e.g. about fresh water supplies?
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@LukeScientiae...you most likely put it on your toothbrush every night. Why because not that long ago the aluminum industry realized that they could by using "scientist, dentists, & doctors" with a lot of charts & PhD's get the American people to literally swallow their industrial waste product & feel good about poisoning themselves in the process. Smoking at one time in America was "Doctor recommended," so go ahead & keep buying what they're selling at your own risk if that's what you want.
Beowulfsonur 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur Your view of the history of science is really simplistic. Firstly, smoking was recommended 1. before any good epidemiological data linking it to cancer was found (we now have that data). 2. smoking was promoted by tobacco companies who told people there were "doubts" over the claims it was harmful. That is the same thing fossil fuel companies are doing now to convince you there are "doubts" about the climates science when there aren't any. See: /watch?v=gjVjr-qOpNk
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur It's obvious that you don't understand much science. It's precisely for that reason that the fossil fuel industry (e.g. Exxon) hope to persuade you that climate change isn't happening by funding propaganda about how "doubtful" the science is (e.g. by giving money to think tanks like the Competitive Enterprise Institute). Your analogy with smoking is right: the way promotion of smoking was done was to prey on people's scientific illiteracy. So go and learn some science
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@LukeScientiae...Its obvious you support Propaganda Science...Perhaps you'd like to drink a little Mercury, cause a little won't kill you but it does built up in the brain tissue just like fluoride builds up in the bones/body! ...in Nazi Germany in the water supply of the Jewish ghettos. I'm sure this was because he was concerned about Jewish peoples teeth, NOT! You are either ignorant of the facts or your pushing the lies started by Alcoa Aluminum. So BYE & be blessed..
Beowulfsonur 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur You're wrong on water fluoridation. For ALL SUBSTANCES you have levels that are safe and dangerous. You can die of a water overdose if you want (would you have said water is a poison, or part of some conspiracy? No.) So what matters is the dose. Decades of epidemiological data show that fluoride prevents tooth decay when used in moderation. There's no such thing as "poison"or "not-poison". What matters is what effects you get with what dosage.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@LukeScientiae...Turn the toothpaste tube over a READ the Warning! It Goes something like this: Harmful If Swallowed Contact the Poison Control Center Immediately! Its a poison! "What matters is what effects you get with what dosage." -LukeScientiae...It's in most cities drinking water so if your drinking it every day its building up in your system! Another words you don't know the amount your getting! Fluoridation of water was first used by Hitler
Beowulfsonur 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur Yet again you make a reference to Hitler, and yet again it's pure bullshit. Just because you WANT certain things to be bad, doesn't mean 1. That they are and you can prove it by making up crap and shouting about it, 2. That it has anything to do with Hitler in reality. The fluoridation of water (YOUR example) is one of the greatest public health achievements of the 20th century, reducing tooth cavities by 25%. 100s of independent studies show its safety.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@LukeScientiae...Your ignorance is truly astounding. Paying to poison the water supply of millions of people is an achievement alright of propaganda i.e. Edward Bernays style! If Colombian Cocaine Dealers fully funded scientist to come up with research supporting the benefits of cocaine use you'd be out there snorting it like there's no tomorrow... Name one truly independent study that has been done on fluoride (a by product of the nuclear industry & industrial aluminum production).....yummy
Beowulfsonur 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur It's your ignorance that is astonishing, not mine. I already told you where you can find the scientific literature. You presumably have no interest in reading it - only dismissing things that disagree with you. Given as I'm an assistant professor in chemistry, I'm well positioned to inform you that the source of a chemical compound doesn't determine its toxicity. Fluoride derived from Al production doesn't make it more toxic than if it came from the Virgin Mary's tit.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur You can continue asserting that fluoride is poison or you can admit to yourself - and its clear to everyone else reading this - that you haven't read and have no intention of reading what the data is or how it was gathered. The reason for that is that you prefer to reject it on the grounds that it doesn't agree with you, not because you have any evidence that the data is unreliable. Hence the "Hitler" bullshit and your refusal to look up the literature.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@LukeScientiae..Should a nuclear bomb go off near you in the future just remember to "Drop Duck & Cover," as I'm sure that will keep you safe & if you ask me "How do I know if that method works"? My reply will be "Because that is what the government propaganda video told me; but of course they won't tell me a lie. No way just like the aluminum industry whose by product Fluoride is not only polluting humans but it also is getting into rivers & streams & the oceans harming fish & other wildlife.
Beowulfsonur 1 month ago

Oh, and don't forget Hitler! Mere mention of him and the Holocaust MUST mean that fluoridation is bad!
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur In reality, fluoridation is one of the most successful medical advances in history. Fluoride works by interfering with the demineralization mechanism of tooth decay, which is an infectious disease. Just about the worst things it causes are discoloration of teeth. @Beowulfsonur would have us all believe in a giant Hitler-based conspiracy - the same unevidenced bullshit he offered to explain away climate science. Coincidence? No; it's what denialists do all the time!
LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@LukeScientiae...Using words like "bullshit." Prove to me you have a very limited vocabulary so how smart are you really? Yeah, what's that? Anymore limited vocabulary to show your vast ignorance? @Beowulfsonur If the C word you refer to is "crank", then I stand by it: Lomborg has systematically distorted climate science findings and isn't even able to stick to one position. It's very telling that you know nothing about climate science: people who attack Gore prefer it to reading the data. Same tactic as you use for your fluoride denialism: assert everything is propaganda, dismiss the evidence, and yell "Hitler" instead of learning the science.
LukeScientiae 1 month ago

LukeScientiae 1 month ago
@Beowulfsonur It would also help if you learned how to do a proper literature search for what is known about the effects of water fluoridation, instead of citing the handful of sources you're familiar with and already agree with. You can begin with PubMed. It wouldn't harm for you to learn something about how the reliability of epidemiological studies is assessed as well, instead of simply shouting "Hitler" every time you want someone to take up your alarmist, illiterate nonsense.

For example, U.S. Representative John Dingell’s plan to tax carbon would add 13% to the cost of electricity and 32% to the cost of gasoline; just what we need during a Recession that threatens to become a Depression.
Beowulfsonur 8 months ago
