Well... i have watched two videos from this concert and my conclusion is that this guy is just.. mmmmm... not so great. I feel like he's merely competent at his craft and as an artist, i dont see a lot happening creativity-wise and his subject matter is not particularly penetrating or thought provoking although the things he sings about are worth concerning oneself with- but at the same time, they are pretty obvious issues with no new light shed on them. Im not disgusted but im not impressed.

@sullivanseven I see his uniqueness and i used to work out to that song "Toxicity" which i still like. I understand his messages. My feeling is that his work is what i would call "over stylized" and a bit melowdramatic or rather that there is an imbalance between drama, stylization, subject matter, and musical substance. He's almost Baroque in style but without classical substance. He's a little bit cheesy in my eyes, If your under 30 years old, i can understand why you'd think he was great.

In many ways he's right, but hes tacky as hell.

This is an amazingly pure version of the Charade - the original was great but it was laced with chaos that almost overwhelmed the message.

Here.....He so cleanly conveys the two ideas that consumerism, greed, selfishness makes people happy vs the idea that love is far more powerful than anything this world can offer materially.

I mean even the orchestra and conductor appears moved by this one - this one follows Gate 21 so maybe they are still moved by that one.

To be honest, I am not into classical orchestras either. But I have to admit that his lyrics are the most powerful that I've ever heard. Just listen to "Feed us", empty walls and so on. The entire album is one big shout to society!
