  • The recording is not the TV show- the recording is from her album- Picklepuss slotted it in. Good job!

  • Boy- she can really sing!

  • 1958 GM cars really sucked and I say that as someone whose dad only bought GM cars.

They kept this model "look" for only a year and then got rid of it in 1959.

The Olds and Buick were especially hideous; the Chevy wallowed along like a garbage scow.

  • I believe she is lip-syncing to the record. I didn't know they did that on 50s tv.

  • Thanks for sharing! Such a talented lady!

  • A really good voice. Still typecast, however. The song sounds just like the mood and sentiment of so many of her tragic film characters.

  • nice dub on the music audio, since it was a lip sinc. This program was recorded in color early on... most copies are destroyed, including sam cooke's appearance. it's a shame that a kinescope is all that's left. the original sound and picture was much better.

  • Wow! What a voice- reminds me of Peggy Lee. Why didn't she sing more on film? Is the LP on CD? Simply excellent!

  • Wow! Thanks for posting this, I'm a HUGE Liz Scott fan.

  • Happy Birthday to the wonerdul Lizabeth Scott! Sept 29;)

  • Wow! Watching this sure was a trip. Who knew that the lovely Ms Scott also had an outstanding singing voice! I've always been a huge fan of her many film noir performances. A unique performer with a style all her own. Nice to know she's still with us....I hope she is well & happy these days. Her album must be quite a collector's item. Hopefully songs from it will someday be posted here at youtube. Thank you very much for sharing this wish us! :)

  • I have that lp but don't have a phonograph to play it. Always had the hots for Lizabeth Scott. One of the most appealing women I've ever seen. I saw a picture of her at 80--still beautiful.

  • have the lp...love her...saw her in DESERT FURY only yesterday. should have gotten MUCH more recognition in hollywoodland !

  • Thanks for this video! I'm listening to the album 'Lizabeth' right now: wow! I like it very much!

  • Patti Page had an ongoing arrangement with Oldsmobile for them to sponsor several TV shows she starred in; the first was her syndicated twice-weekly 15 minute filmed series in 1955-'56; the second was this live musical variety show on CBS in 1957-'58; her last was "THE PATTI PAGE OLDSMOBILE SHOW" on in 1958-'59...by the way, "Vik", RCA's subsidiary label that released Ms. Scott's '58album, was discontinued later that year....

  • I have this album, and the soundtrack for the 1958 Oldsmobile dealer introduction. That is a trip! I love Lizabeth Scott.

  • The composer/arranger of the show open and did all of the arranging for the show - Vic Schoen - what a great guy! He is missed...

  • wow lol I found this video searching my name, Lizabeth 0_0

  • She had a very sultry voice` i never knew she could sing until now` very impressive.

  • A good performance from this movie star of the 40s.

  • Lovely song, interesting singer. I enjoyed her in the movies.
