the first two times I played this level I found a red steel saw sword with 10.20 atk and when I came back the third time on my dwarf it was not there any Idea what happened

@MrOriginalGamer check out my post.. learn how to play dragon age before you jump in with your lame ass comments. use cleanse area spell with alistair and watch how fast the fight finishes.

what you guys dont realise is that if you use the 'cleanse area' spell of a templar you can free witherfang and her other werewolves and the fight is over in less than 30 seconds. you dont have to heal, use spells or fight anyone. soon as witherfang and her allies drop zathrian the fight is over. simple.

Man died 3 times, the only way to beat it was to pause every 2 sec and spam potions, and focus 1 on 1 with his minions and leave zath all the way in the back. As usual leliana dies first, gotta get her some gear and offset for melee.

I used the worst party ever for this quest.

Me low level dwarf, alistair(sucks), Leilana(sucks alot) and Morrigan(pretty good).

Actually Alastair is pretty good, but Leliana sucks balls! In my first playthrough I had Alastair ,Leliana, and Morrigan in my party. I could barely get past the dragon on easy.

I know! I hate Rogues! All my characters are either mages or warriors, rogues cant do shit. Sten is pretty kickass, isnt he? I always bring Alastair,Morrigan and Wynne with me. They rule.

you did it really fast - it's damn near impossible though depending on who you start with. with an all warrior party with high enough armor, defense and resistance it's easy, but with a mage pc at a low level? no easy way to do this

I'm level 8 :(. The developers could've atleast let a couple werewolves fight with you. I've defeated Witherfang on another account with ease, but this is freaking impossible. Anyone know any good strategies with a 2-handed dwarf, Sten, Morrigan, and Alistair? I have it for XBOX.

That's not normal mode... that's easy... on normal you have 4 trees and 2 shades... you have only 3 trees... fckin easy with that equipment

If you want this fight to be a complete cakewalk, simply come in with a templar who has cleansing aura. Have him cast it first thing, then all the werewolves are free to help. It's not really that tough either way.

This looks pathetically easy on consol. I guess with more control options available on PC the difficulty is higher. I played this battle earlier and it was far harder than that looked.

there are usually at least two outcomes for everything you do so at this part you will either have the werewolves for allies at the final fight or you will get the elves as allies

The easiest boss in the game. Just make Allistair do that cleanse thingi to free the wolves. Then u can basicly just watch.
