Actually it's a good idea... Many fans were really sad when in Spiderman TAS, Brock loved Dr. Ashley Kauffa (the psychiatrist) and he sacrificed himself by tackling Carnage to save her. It would be nice to see Brock find peace. However in the spiderman 2 film they screwed up brock once again.

Capes are good for squarejawed heroics, Superman style. They are just impressive. But as The Incredibles showed, capes aren't exactly practical. Spiderman, at least to me, is a gymnast of a superhero, rather then a weightlifter. Fast moving and wisecracking, that sort of thing. I don't want to cause any nerd rage here, but I just think, in my own opinion, that I don't like the look. How good is the show? Don't know, haven't seen enough yet to form an honest opinion. This is just my two cp.
