I love Peter, Paul and Mary, but this is the wrong song for them.

This is an example of wonderfully done music in the technical sense, but it seems to me that they took the life out of the song. Compare it with any of the other versions and something powerful is missing.

You need to realize this recording was done around 1969, and was done in typical PPM Style. The Hipowered versions your talking about came much later
