Some say that the lyrics are what makes the song beautiful. I often times disagree. I'm 12 (Too young, I know. But never for music.). For me, lyrics is about 35% important in a song. But it's not THE most important part. Point is, a song is great when the artist knows how to portray and not just sing it. In a sense that people who hears it, would immediately be amazed and not just like it. This song and Rob as an artist is definitely amazing.
As a die-hard NON-Twilight fan, I really enjoy listening to this. Something about it reminds me of Bob Dylan. You never understood 91 1/2 % of what he was saying, but you felt the emotion behind it.
His music comes from his soul, not the paper hes' reading it from. Anyone with a good voice can sing. This is soooo different, so unique, you hear it with your heart and soul, not your ears. It gets in your bones and heart. I almost wish he didn't star in Twilight (no offense) there's so much more to him than a pretty acting face. ALBUM ALREADY! (and I pray if he does, he doesn't let the producers pretty it up, it's perfect raw)

Bob Dylan sounded like he was drunk too, well, actually he was probably off his head. It worked for him, some people have a talent for singing that means that they have a voice that is so particular to them, that they do not blend with the rest. And that s what this guy has, in abundance. It may not be to everyones' taste, but it's a darn sight better than the dribble that makes the UK no1 every xmas.

He has some technique issues, but they pale into insignificance for me when I hear that spectacular 'cry' in his voice. It cuts me right to the soul. Some say that the lyrics are what makes the song beautiful. I often times disagree. I'm 12 (Too young, I know. But never for music.). For me, lyrics is about 35% important in a song. But it's not THE most important part. Point is, a song is great when the artist knows how to portray and not just sing it. In a sense that people who hears it, would immediately be amazed and not just like it. This song and Rob as an artist is definitely amazing.

As a die-hard NON-Twilight fan, I really enjoy listening to this. Something about it reminds me of Bob Dylan. You never understood 91 1/2 % of what he was saying, but you felt the emotion behind it.

His music comes from his soul, not the paper hes' reading it from. Anyone with a good voice can sing. This is soooo different, so unique, you hear it with your heart and soul, not your ears. It gets in your bones and heart. I almost wish he didn't star in Twilight (no offense) there's so much more to him than a pretty acting face. ALBUM ALREADY! (and I pray if he does, he doesn't let the producers pretty it up, it's perfect raw)

So all of his lyrics are written by Marcus? Those lyrics are amazing, and on a whole level of consciousness above where so many of us are stuck. Obviously Rob understands their meaning, as you can hear it in his voice; that is what so many people are connecting with. And yes, he should make a CD. I know he didn't want to look like he was riding on Twilight, but I think music is more of his calling anyhow.

Bob Dylan sounded like he was drunk too, well, actually he was probably off his head. It worked for him, some people have a talent for singing that means that they have a voice that is so particular to them, that they do not blend with the rest. And that s what this guy has, in abundance. It may not be to everyones' taste, but it's a darn sight better than the dribble that makes the UK no1 every xmas.

@thepianogirl24 I'm also a singer (classically trained) and I think he sounds amazing. He has some technique issues, but they pale into insignificance for me when I hear that spectacular 'cry' in his voice. It cuts me right to the soul. Besides which, it's a *good* voice with a big range and a pure tone, it just needs development. Staying perfectly on key is a skill, talent is a gift; skills can be learned, talent can't.

I love the rawness, it's so honest... everything... the guitar and his voice. So soulful, this is the type of artist I look for, it's music you can hear and never get sick of. Music you can really appreciate with soul and substance... "Well I like this world...." Killed me right there. Amazing. I'm a huge underground hip-hop and neo-soul head but I love hearing this type of bluesy-folk-funkyness... good stuff. Reminds me of Jeff Buckley. The boy has soul..
