  • Obviously that was a lot more than just speeding.

  • 'Every K over is a Killer'

That's about one sixth of normal walking pace!

Therefore Every 6 k's over would be walking pace over the limit!

  • absolute crock of shit.

  • Every (k) over is a dollar.

  • @KYjelly YOULL BE SORRY WHEN YOU SMASH YOUR FUCKING HEAD INTO A DAMN TRUCK, WHILE LOOKING AT YOUR WHORE

  • Why would I be looking at your mum?

  • @EAFSQ9 Shouldnt talk about your mom like that mate. Sheesh!

  • I saw it when I was on holiday in Australia (such things are not shown on German Television at the moment). I am not sure if there is any sense in that. I think this could happen to everbody everywhere even without a k over and most people already know that driving is dangerous. All I can do is to drive carefully and hope that I will never get involved in any accident and thats all I need to know.

  • I couldn't sleep for a week wen i saw that add it rattled me so much should be shown around the world just like carmarvan22 said

  • your mentally unstable.

  • I think its awesome! They should be showing that in every country! Thats the only really way to get the point across. And after seeing that people still wont listen.

  • this is austrailia for ya we have the highest speed ratio and the lowest speed limits in the world lol

  • well, they sure got their point across

  • blood. Europe is friki'n crazy.

  • Except this is in Australia, since this is a commercial from Queensland.

  • The State Government of Queensland has no objection of this material making me scream and then not sleeping any more... this is really tough stuff. Reality is even tougher i suppose.

  • omg! thats 1 hard hitting quit speeding vid

  • Either way, it does get the point across. Speed does kill.

  • speed doesn't kill, its the manner in which you're at speed. All this omg a couple kmh/mph over the speed limit is no real indication of elevated risk endangering a life. This is total bullshit. All that has been made clear (or at least i thought so until people posted otherwise) is that the guy was driving 'wrecklessly' weaving in and out, talking, with a kid in the FRONT SEAT, looking over, being quite euphoric in a tense situation, and choosing to avoid a fence for a baby and mother.

  • every k over does potentially put each life at risk. Say you are driving at 65 km/h instead of 60km/h it would take a longer distance to both react and actually stop. These 5 k's could mean the difference between hitting someone at a relatively slow speed (under 10 km/h) or a fatal one.

  • in the united states they say that if you are going 60mph you will travel 100 feet before your foot even touches the brake petal think about that next time you are speeding

  • This arguement is stupid. So why would you do 60kmph when you can stop quicker and cover less distance at 50kmph? Why do 50 when you can do 40? Why do 40 when you can not move at all and put no one at risk?

You realise people need to get from one place to another right? This does involve moving at speed and unfortunately due to the nature of the activity - YES PEOPLE WILL DIE.

The advertisement is misleading anyways, doing 80 in a 70 zone did not cause the crash, him swerving about did.

  • - "So why would you do 60kmph when you can stop quicker and cover less distance at 50kmph? Why do 50 when you can do 40?"

Because all roads have different limits, more open road means more speed because there is less chance of an accident. If he was doing 70 or under, he wouldn't have had to swerve.

  • So what if the bloke in the other lane was doing 10 kays slower (like he was in the video) but was doing 60 instead of 70 and the other bloke was doing 70 instead of 80? he still would have hit and done exact same damage even though he was NOT speeding.

  • On a street like that, a 70 km/h limit is crazy. Over here, the limit would no more than 35 mi/h (56 km/h). Kinda graphic for a general audience, isn't it?

  • it was never shown on prime time television and even then it still got taken off.

its awful but i think it gets the message across.

  • I second that
