Luckily plumbers do not install pan liners in Washington state. I hope you do a PROPER pre-slope when you do them there. Putting them in is easy, putting them in PROPERLY is another matter.
I have seen more lisenced contractors do this kind of work. People think because someone has a lisence they know what there doing. Not true. In Washington State you show up with money and they give ANYONE a lisence. A lisence is NOT a garantee for quality!
i fully agree with the unlicensed contractor comment " not to hire them" but up until a few years ago by code in most counties in Florida, it wasn't required that a licensed plumbing contractor install the shower pan . i don't think coming on youtube and bashing the guy was the correct way to represent your company either the guy paid you to come in and make things right . i would guess that tile guy probably wont be calling you the next time he has a bath remodel.
@suzukianderson What does the door trim have to do with my job as the plumber? Do you think that was somehow my idea or somthing? I put in plumbing, that's it.
@ProTechPlumbing I agree with footballtbone dude. Your an ass hole and obviously have limited experience in the construction field to generalize it to unlicensed contractors. I am a tile-setter and have been for 18 years. I learned from the best. My father is a Italian mason. I have done many showers and wet beds. Because I chose not to give my hard earned money to the goverment does not make me incapable. You work for someone. Do your work and shut the fuck up!!!!!!!!!
@suzukianderson havent you ever heard of PVC or Composite trim.... get a clue before you decide to make your ignorance public knowledge... thanks in advance...
Did you offer the owner of the house an option to seal? Which would be way more cost efficient for the owner and very easy to observe , considering the leak is right above the the light fixture in the entrance? The owner deserves to get ripped for allowing a sex offender in there house shave your mustache makes you look like a weirdo!
Hey Ken, hire a camera man with the money you steal from these homeowners next time...BTW you can seal the floor without busting the entire area.....a real tile man knows how....sink to chasing turds....you plumbers are all alike.....
I think it's funny how you pass judgment about a job that you know nothing about other than what you have seen in this video.
Yes, I could have lapped welded a patch in over the flange area only. That would not be wise though considering the guy who did the pan was an idiot. If he didn't install the clamp ring on the pan, who's to say that anything else was done right (and BTW it wasn't).
Based on your general tone I would peg you as an unlicensed contractor as well who is jealous.
......I own several residental and commercial properties 22 to be exact...I have dealt with electricians and plumbers over the years and have encountered everything from slab leaks to full blown fires....when its my dime to find a solution or repair its done right for the cost...you on the other hand rake people over the coals and abuse homeowners for their lack of knowledge praying on their vulnerability to make a buck.....nice try but not here....stop ripping people off and grow a pair.
@5150pop I would have just patched the pan for you and then charged you again to come out and redo it as it needed. You see, the "tile contractor" also did not lay the pan correctly and it was cut in multiple locations. So, Mr. big shot property manager, you would have wasted quite a bit of money in that situation by being cheap. Luckily the owner in that situation is a long time client of mine and has learned to trust what I tell him. He has hundreds of properties and he uses me by choice.
He's a DOUCHE!!!! out in the field takin advantage of ppl who dont have a clue about things like plumbing! He needs to be put out of business or lose his job so that someone who is honest can take his place! If he works by the hour I wonder if his employer knows hes shootin vids on the clock?? Ken your a Loser!!!!!!!!!
@ashtonmac88 Well stumpy, I'm the bossman so I can shoot video when ever I like as it's my dollar. I must be darn lucky to have such a large client base seeing as how I'm so stupid and don't know anything about plumbing. I know that I've only been doing this for over a decade and am a licensed master plumber and have a thriving business, but maybe one day I will be as good as you and be able to hurl blind accusations about jobs I have never been to and seen the actual work at over the internet.
