THE FACTS: from 1978-2008 USC is 16-14-1 vs. UCLA. 15 NFL clubs have Bruins on their rosters & 4 played in this year's Super Bowl (2 Steelers & 2 Cards), at least 1 Bruin has played in 28 of the last 30 Super Bowls, 20 current NFL coaches either played or coached at UCLA,; & UCLA is the only NCAA school to have 6 QB's on Super Bowl rosters. Carroll is a fantastic recruiter, consistently plucking top talent out of California and the rest of the nation... but what you fail to realize, is that Neuheisel is every bit as good as Carroll in recruiting and has a very high football IQ... trust me, it's just a matter of time until UCLA football catches up with SC...

You're right about one thing, Neuheisel will bring in a few recruits here and there that otherwise would've chosen USC, or elsewhere. However, a program like UCLA will absolutely never catch up to the Trojans in college football history.
USC has 11 National Championships (2 this decade), 7 Heisman Trophy winners (3 coming in 4 years this decade), 7 straight conference championships, 7 straight BCS bowl games (winning 6 of 7), a multitude of NFL draft picks and Hall Of Famers.

tell me something i don't know...yes, i think we all know the quality and historical significance of the Trojans football program...but as i've stated before, UCLA is historically better in football than USC is in basketball...the crosstown football rivalry between the Bruins and Trojans is one of the best in the nation... but over the decades, UCLA has sent their fare share of quality talent to the NFL...remember the Dallas Cowboys of the early 90's? the cowboys had three pro bowlers from UCLA.

Yeah but that's just one decade. Any other decades with that many names from UCLA? Probably not. UCLA has Troy Aikman to lean on, other than that, having Maurice Jones-Drew still in the league helps.
USC has produced more this decade than UCLA ever has, and that doesn't help recruits that will greatly change the program choose to go there.
Although, I do know Alterraun Verner from high school hopefully he'll be a top corner for next year's draft.

i'm back, you asshole...look, the all time record between this 77 year old rivalry is 42 wins for SC and 28 w's for UCLA , and 7 draws... also, from 1950 to 1998, UCLA has the better record with 25 wins to SC's 21 victories, and 3 ties...... The Bruins also hold the all time consecutive winning streak in this rivalry, with 8 strait victories, from 1991-98... but SC's 14 victory advantage is a little misleading as the rivalry was dominated the first 20 years by SC and the last 7, as well..

Neuheisel will bring respectability back to UCLA Bruin football... give it another 2 to 3 years and Bruin football will be on the same level if not better than the Terry Donahue era... Neuheisel is a master recruiter and motivater who will take some of Carroll's top recruits, I promise... I predict, that in the next few years Neuheisel will build a top 5 program capable of competing on an annual basis for a national title...

Oh and LSU offered USC, OU and Texas Tech to play them in a series like USC and Ohio State, and they all denied it. And USC proved a lot their championship year by beating teams like Colorado State, BYU, and the oh so good Fighting Irish of South Bend who proved a lot coming to New Orleans in 06.

Yea, but you're only proving everyone else's point more. Your whole conference is not even close to being as powerful as the SEC's. UCLA can't beat Notre Dame and you can't beat them. Stanford is a great program, right? Let's see, teams that could compare to the SEC: Oregon, USC, ASU, and Cal are the only four in my opinion that could play in the SEC. However, teams that could play in the Pac 10, LSU, Florida, UGA, Tennessee, USC, Kentucky, Alabama, Auburn, and Arkansas. All fight for top 25

look at who the sec plays out of conference and look how they do against the pac-10 in bcs games. didn't cal beat lsu last year? the only things the sec has over pac-10 are - espn, 2 extra teams, and a conf. chp game. the espn part is huge because then they can all play weak non-conf games and still be ranked. this will be the first time in forever that georgia plays a reg season game west of the miss.!!!! and they will lose , as will tenn.!!!
