God - Sooo special - just standing there no flash no glam - just Ronnie's sweet melodic voice & beautiful music - such a sad sad end to such a class act. @jdcovington New(ish) fan of of Small Faces and Ronnie Lane, longtime fan of Pete Townshend and loved Ronnie Lane's "Evolution"on Who Came First. Until very recently, never knew much more than this of him. Listened to this for the first time last evening and thought the same thing, he's capturing the same sort of sweet sorrow that (early solo) George Harrison did so well. What a lovely piece!

Why don't the BBC release this stuff? Surely the sale figures for "The Passing Show" prove there is a market. Or perhaps, contrary to Ronnie Lane's own philosophy, if you're not making money,it's not worth doing! Tie it in with some Faces Footage, tie it in with anything! Surely this material is already ours! I'm on a roll now! I've paid enough to the BBC over the years to finance the meagre amount these performances cost them. Oh sod it! I'm going to bed..
