Project64 1.6, no additional plugins installed.

@jrharbort wow, it runs smooth all the way and looks just like the original. I had to use a lot of plugins to make it work good, its kinda going in 60fps now but sometimes it goes from slower to faster and vice versa, any idea why? i have a dual core 4gb win7 comp

That's because of how accurate the engine is in emulating the N64 hardware. It has the realistic framerate drops, just like it had on the N64. It doesn't matter how good your specs are, it's the limitation of the emulator itself.

I find that funny since youtube doesn't allow videos beyond 30fps. What you saw was likely the Xbox 360 remake. You can find it on the XBL Marketplace.

I can't stand it when people slate this game, because it is an absolute masterpiece in every sense of the word.

I can only imagine the people who do it, just didn't receive it for christmas and never got over that...

Everything from the story, to the music, the characters, the gun detail and depth, the shooting range, the side missions, multiplayer, bot multiplayer. It really is "perfect", and Goldeneye 007 is equally unparalleled.

Rare were incredibly talented back then.

That's because this game was also made by Rareware the makers of Goldeneye and Banjo Kazooie and Jet Force Gemini. Unfortunately Rareware had a series of misfortunes and good people leaving the company and they have been belittled to making sports games for the Wii and nothing since.

Agreed, both Goldeneye and PD really helped set the standard for future games. If you happen to own an Xbox 360, PD is available on the XBL Arcade, which has the textures enhanced, and runs in HD resolution. The framerate lag is gone as well.

Wow, the constant reloading subsequent to every kill is really obnoxious. It may not be as so during gameplay, but watching in my position... what I'm trying to say is, if you're going to record gameplay, I'd suggest breaking such habit.

Reloading is pretty necessary in PD.You need all the ammo you can hold before entering new rooms.And it fells nice to have a fully loaded weapon.

Great game! Too bad I never had a game pak to play the single player. The frame rate really bothers my eyes though.

It was a game that pushed the N64 to its very limits, which was one reason for the framerate issue. Emulators help reduce this somewhat on a system with good specs, but there is still some noticeable slowdowns.

This is the best shooter EVER TO EXIST!!! It also has the second-best graphics on the Nintendo 64 (behind Conker's Bad Fur Day). I can't wait for the port on Xbox Live Arcade!
