@ObjectiveObserver4 It's not a lie that fuel efficiency standards will kill jobs. An independent consulting firm said that the standards would raise the price of an auto by $10,000, which will decrease demand, which will decrease jobs. Exxon-Mobile makes fuel-- it doesn't have anything to do with raising fuel efficiency standards. Get a grip.
@ObjectiveObserver4 ask yourself why raising fuel efficiency standards would raise the price of a car. there is no reason why it should. the technology isn't that expensive. it's a minor increase in production cost which the auto industry could easily absorb. especially if it was subsidized.
exonn-mobile spends millions on lobbying to ensure that efficiency standards do not go up. the higher the standards are, the less of their oil we buy.
@CastroLive You're comparing apples to oranges-- GM, the world's largest manufacturer, SHOULD sell more cars than the smaller Japanese automaker. Plus GM has defense contracts for vehicles. And what do you mean by "the auto industry went back up"? Auto sales increases? Over what time? Read the Wall Street Journal or Forbes before you blather.
@OutragedPeople Under Bush GM was nearly bankrupt. The industry was falling apart. And now It's much healthier than under Bush. And my dear friend, I read forbes and wsj and contribute as well...
this is propaganda from the oil industry.
Obama doesn't control gas prices. the oil companies do.
raising fuel efficiency standards won't kill jobs. that's a lie.
it would be slightly less money for the oil companies in annual profits, but it would save Americans a lot of money on gas.
ExxonMobile makes 30-40 billion every year. they have plenty of money to hire workers and raise standards.

"Gas prices have doubled since Obama took office." Really? Because the numbers at my local gas pump don't support that.

obama is a LIAR. Remember that Muslims believe it is alright
to lie in order to further their agenda and Islam. He is no more
a Christian than Lucifer. In fact obama has a prearranged date
with the devil. Don't believe a word out of his lying mouth. He is only
saying these things because he wants to be reelected. Just
remember all the lies he told during the 2008 campaign.
