Only because you aren't literate enough to spell "incredible" or "fantastic". I see you struggled to even come up with a 3 letter word. Do you even know what punctuation is? I even spelt it for you so you can look it up on Wiki, you loser piss-ant.
This isn't lame. Some skaters love to call everything that isn't skating gay and lame. But it doesn't look like you are in any way trying to compete with these kids. Its a freaking cool project. I'd like to see you lame skaters make your own board and do something new. Thats what this guy did and he deserves props for it.
@MrToad712 You're a fucking idiot... that's "Faith No More" NOT "Disturbed".. Learn to differentiate sounds in music before you try to tell people what song is on a random video.
@Fallen80sChild Don't have to start swearing for no reason, Disturbed did a cover of the song and it sounds almost exactly the same. I also realised seconds after I posted it that it was not the Disturbed version. But then again, that's no reason to start swearing. I am really very sorry for the confusing comment. Okay now?
@Fallen80sChild You're the fucking idiot, moron. Why do you really care if somebody got a song, in a piece of shit waste of time video, wrong anyways? Is the fact that he posted a comment physically harming you, or taking away your constitutional rights in anyway? If his harmless post does not then shut the fuck up.
Yep, just like motorbikes were for people who couldn't be bothered peddling bicycles and go-karts were for people that couldn't be bothered pushing billy-karts back up the hill. I would get bored only going as slow as a normal skateboard and not being able to ride for hours at a time along the beach bikepaths or through parks. I have upgraded both my boards (I have a 1000W off-road board as well) to LiFePO batteries since this video and they are even faster and go 3 times as far on a charge.
Great vid dude. Hey does your board still hold up after 2 years? Had to replace anything? Also had a couple questions and would love to talk to you about your experience.
Dont mind the negative comments, usually its from people who cant afford to get one so they just sit on the sidelines and hate.
The drive wheels and belts need replacement every 3 months or so with heavy use. The free wheels last about a year. The custom NiMH battery pack is about worn out now after 3 years so I will go for a 10Ah LiPO pack this time but they aren't cheap.
@daltex2007 So he left out a C? Who cares about electric skateboards??Besides the whimps and the losers who are too lazy to move their fucking foot and push the board you can't even do tricks on those dumb electric skateboards there's no point in them??
@wowiliketolongoboard electric propulsion is still the way of the future and all advances in that field should be encouraged, not to mention the fact that wasting a bit of electricity still beats burning a bit of petrol ;-)
@mooglaman and can you tell me where the electricity is generated from? power plants perhaps? and what do those power plants use to create energy? fossil fuels?
(i know energy isn't created before anyone starts)
Thank you for your question. Electricity is generated in a number of different ways around the world based on the surrounding conditions. Sometimes through combustion of fossil fuels, wind powered generators, sometimes through nuclear fission and so on. If I get one it will be powered by means of hydroelectric power plants as they are very popular where I live... and that sure as fuck beats burning petrol :)
Interesting fact:Skateboarding was probably born sometime in the late 1940s or early 1950s when surfers in California wanted something to surf when the waves were flat. wiki fact
i thought skateboarding was 70s lol bout time 4 an upgrade
It's not actually, the board will run for around an hour at that speed before needing a recharge. It's a shame that so many wankers that have never ridden an electric board leave negative comments. Go out and try something new and get a life.
I am holding a wireless remote control with both acceleration and braking. It only works within about a metre of the board. You can see it better on my other video (search on Extreme Electric Skateboarding).
This one is a 600 watt board with an 800 watt controller. You can't fit the larger 800 watt motor under this size board but the extra power fron the higher rated controller helps. The belt drive also probably couldn't handle the power from a bigger motor. If you weighed under 60 kg then even the 600 watt would just spin the drive wheel. I have an 800 watt off road board which is great for touring along bikeways and foreshores. It turns like a truck but is fast. I can even walk my dog with it.
It's just like surfing. Mine has a $400 battery pack but you can buy them for around $800 in various outlets in Sydney. I have an off road one too and these are easily the best money I have spent on toys, highly recommended. It helps to have a bit of auto electrical knowledge to keep them running or customise them.
Omg......so fucking beast.....
