I can't understand why you people are bashing Dwayne Johnson for making this movie? He has always said in interviews that he doesn't want to be a big movie or action star, what he wants is to be a good actor. He is trying to avoid typecasting in action movies, that is why he is trying to broaden his roles to comedy (Be Cool, Get Smart), family (The Game Plan) and drama movies (Gridiron Gang, Southland Tales). I will not be surprised if he gets nominated for prominent awards in the future.

I am not sure what you mean about "bomb" there. But if you meant it was a box office bomb or a flop then think again because it was not. The Game Plan's budget was $22 million and it grossed to over $144 million, it was a box office success.
